MATTY WOLFE IS YOUNG PLAYER OF THE SEASON FOR 21/22 Club News Our Young Player of the Season for 2021/22 is Matty Wolfe! Continue reading on the official site...
Why not? Players who have won awards at our last home game of the season have done that as far back as I can remember and if so close to the match starting he still needed to practice something then maybe he shouldn't be in the team.
Don't even bother pal, he's got some sort of agenda going...... properly envious for some reason of a young lad with a bright career in front of him......
Tell your lad that he's got all the ability and a brilliant career ahead of him but give him a rollicking and remind him that if he doesn't actually try then he will have a wasted career like thousands more before him. It's really up to him at this stage, try and the fans will love him, waste his opportunity (remember he admitted he was going through the motions and not trying not me) and he will be yet another Jacob mellis. I hope for his sake, and yours, that he realises actions speak louder than words. His effort in the majority of games cannot be questioned. His effort in the last couple has (like many of his teammates) been abysmal. I will not apologise for having eyes and seeing that.
Others always have. In fact based on the effort seen in the drills I thought other certain players had walked off
Absolutely no agenda or envy from me. If there was I'd have been slating him all season as opposed to just criticising his recent lack of effort since HE admitted not trying. That lack of effort is apparent in about half of his teammates too
He was very self-critical on Thursday SuperTyke. You can't slam someone for being open and letting feelings out. We the fans should want people to be honest within the club and not use it to beat them with it. He said he was off it but that isn't a decision he made, he went out thinking he would be his best and he wasn't. It happens. The players are mentally cooked. It's very likely that they are trying the hardest they ever have but things aren't going our way. It happens. The players/fans/coaching staff need a break and a fresh start. Hopefully, get someone in soon and we move on into a very important pre-season.
All you've done is read a throwaway line from doug o kane on twitter and taken it literally. Watch the interview in its entirety and you'll see the point that was trying to be made was that the team had not been good enough, not that they'd made a conscious decision not to try which is what the implication is. 4 reporters asked questions in that interview and only 1 felt the need to lead with that one sentence, that was probably I'll advised. Again, I feel your wasting your time. He, along with a few others, have taken one sentence from a 20 minute interview (highlighted and sensationalised by o kane) and decided that he and other players have gone out with the intention of not giving 100%. That one line was ill advised and taken in isolation looks bad but get the context properly the whole interview needs to be listened to. The honesty should be applauded but a headline on twitter and this is what happens. I've watch this lad come through the youth set up and lack of effort can never be an accusation.
