Watching Devaney close this last week from the West Stand says to me more than ever that the academy needs ripping up and starting again from scratch. It's like throwing a baby into the deep end of a swimming pool.

 

To be fair its got so bad with these owners its neglect of a football club could the supporters trust do more? Imo yes but whatever. Coman and co wont be getting anymore of my money its really sad what these owners have done to the club.

 

I spoke to someone at Reading from the media team and asked him to ask three questions. 1 okay he wouldn't ever ask. Said would he ask MS if he was the right man for the job. Okay, that might have been out of order from me.

One of the questions was about the footballers he played at LWB and LB. When Ben Williams/ Remy Vita were at the club.

He told me he wouldn't because he was at the club. It felt like to me, he was saying he was better than the travelling fans that day because he took money from the club. That wasn't nice at all.

They are certainly unprofessional too. The nickname rubbish needs to stop on a professional football clubs twitter. He isn't called Mally, Romal Palmer is the name.

I wasn't happy with anyone playing lb/lwb. It wasn't Bwilliams or Vita at the time and people playing out of position.

I went across to someone. Asked him to ask 3 questions. One was about the selection at LB/LWB and he told me he wouldn't because he worked at the club.

 

Why would he? Are you an accredited journalist or something? Why should he ask????

The way the media team and trust have supported and appeased the owners this year have been pathetic !
The trust interview with kaleed was nothing more a kiss on the cheek . The majority of the media teams posts this year have insulting to the average fan .
Who’s idea was it to play the music after the final whistle today ?
I would love the trust to come out tomorrow and condemn the owners and demand that the owners meet with fans and demonstrate their actual plans for the club !
However, I would suspect that flatbreads and brewdog beer would be higher up the agenda

The media team have been really easy on the club this year you're right. But that's probably because they're employees of the club and if they piss off their bosses they're out of a job.

The trust, in my opinion, needs to go back to its roots and reorganise because it doesn't seem to serve much purpose these days. It appears it cannot be too honest or scathing out of fear of losing its access to the club but its access they need in order to achieve anything so it's a catch 22 situation and not really their fault. Remember that regardless of what we may think at times the trust members ARE supporters and each and every one of them wants what's best for the club.

 

The guys did not ask a good question all year Marc. Not one.

They are meant to ask questions people want to know. Not, well another defeat ........ but a game on Tuesday and you will want to put it right won't you ...........?
