Anyone else remember the last time we went to West Brom on the last day of the season? Wrong end of a 7-0 drubbing if memory serves. I fear it could be even worse this time!
I don’t think WBA are good enough under Bruce to get 7 and in any case I don’t really care. I’m not going
That match did my head in. Barnsley fans singing "we don't give a f**k cos we're staying up" and laughing as the team got ripped to shreds. Embarrassing.
"Der der de de f*ckin useless" when Kevin Phillips missed an open goal for number 8 just about summed it up for me along with the sight of a very miserable Disco walking outside the ground with his mum and dad rather than going back on the team bus.
Incorrect. The last time we went to west brom last game of the season we drew 1-1. Colace got our goal I think. They scored very late on.
We've actually got a decent record against WBA since that day, with only 1 defeat in the last 7 games. This includes 2 wins and 4 draws. I don't hold out much hope for much next weekend though. If WBA turn up, they could well put more than that past us. They'll be "on the beach" though I think...... There's also the 0.7 drubbing in November 1989 which put paid to Clarke's 2nd stint as manager.
We could put a team of supposedly was our first team squad with players that doesn’t seem to care whether they win another game for us or not . Or we can play a group of enthusiastic youngsters who tire more quickly lose their discipline and are naive to the tricks of more experienced opposition . Either way we lose and it depends on how the opposition are feeling on the day by how many imo.
Yeah that’s right, the fans making the most of a day out was embarrassing. The players on the pitch who were 100% responsible for the 7 nil drumming didn’t deserve us showing them up like that whatsoever. Immediate 3 year ban for anyone involved. How dare you be joy yourselves.
