Watching the reds is what I do every other week during the football season; if that makes me a "happy clapper" then so-be -it (I'm not by the way, I'm as pi55ed off with the current situation as the next fan).
Looking forward to seeing Marsh, Wolfe, Walton, Aitchison and a few others develop next season.

Hopefully you'll get to see at least some of them but I wouldn't want to guarantee it!

I don’t begrudge or label anyone renewing, to not renew has always been unimaginable but the camels back is well and truly broken for me.
My intention is to go to some of the 9-12 grounds ( depending on L2 promotion) I’ve not been to but won’t set foot in Oakwell.

£8.56 per match, 6 pence dearer than a bottle of Delerium in the Old No. 7.

Renewing this week as it’s just a way of life. Sadly though I’m not hopeful at all about the short term future of the club.

I'm not renewing for the first time in my adult life I won't have a season ticket. That does not make anyone who does a "happy clapper" and I genuinely hope we have a good season. Currently I don't feel like I want to financially back the current regime. That's not to say I can't be won back over but for now I'm out until I see actions that change my viewpoint.

I have no axe to grind with anyone who can actually stomach watching us under these circumstances. I just feel that not going is the only way I can express how I feel. Nowt to do with results. i just don't want to give these owners another penny.

I am sure people getting ST have as good a reason to do so as those not doing so. I actually admire the resolve. Unfortunately for me and family and after over 50 years of ups and downs we feel legged over. As such won’t be renewing nor planning to attend. As much as it’s been a part of my lifestyle there are many other things I do to fill in the gaps. Good luck to those that do, I sincerely hope the club makes game days an enjoyable experience.

myself and my son won't be renewing.. first time since 1989 I won't be attending. Down to the owners taking money out of the club. I or maybe my son will return if the the owners leave or pay back the money.

some give up on something and others don't.

I don't live in a world where if something is not perfect for me I take my ball home. I was brought up to not do that.

When England got knocked out in the WC in Australia in 15 I didn't give up on them and seeing them win in 19 wouldn't be as sweet in 19 if they hadn't been where they were 4 years previous.

I don't think anyone is giving up going purely on results. We support Barnsley, we know not to expect results to go our way, on the occasions they do, as you say, it's all the sweeter. But this is down to feeling the club is no longer ours, that it's purely a football factory, a nursery club and by the looks of it our owners can't even get that right!

I renewed last week. I thought long and hard, and almost talked myself out of it. There were lots of reasons to call it a day, not least of which was my son's decision not to renew. For the first time in 19 years I will be back to attending on my own. Whether I stick it out beyond next season, or even to the end of the season, remains to be seen, but for now I intend to give it my best shot.

I still dislike and distrust the owners. I still have reservations about our player recruitment model. The £750k is still a bugbear. There is a long list of things wrong at the club. I don't need to mention them all, they're well documented.

    But still... I've renewed.

In the end, the thing that tipped the scales for me was a recent post by @YTBFC, where Andy spoke about his mum, and Patrick Cryne. I found it quite moving, and it reminded me that the club is made up of people. Mostly local people. Good people. People who give it everything. People who, given the state of the club's finances, probably need all the support they can get. So for now, I'm in.

Oh, stop being such a tool Hemsworth.

Ask yourself why hundreds of people are not renewing after relegation, when the same people renewed after previous relegations? I've seen 4 relegations into League One this Century - and this is the only time I've not renewed.

This blaming the fans thing has to stop. It just has.

Yes that may be true, especially if only results were the single thing. But its not. To balance the discussion, I've been brought up not to suffer fools gladly and to take a stand if i believe something is wrong. My personal protest is to not blindly fund the owners.

Like many I paid up when there was no hope of actually attending to see a match but I’m not. I’m in the not a penny more camp. Given I can watch any game I want I can still watch the matches and will do any away grounds I’ve not been to.

of course I wouldn’t criticise anyone renewing it’s all
    Personal choice.

I care neither way about results or League we are in It’s irrelevant. I’ve seen us play in all 4 divisions and never felt that enough was enough. Now I do. I have
Plenty of others things fo do with my leisure time.
