Have kept their remarkable run in 2022 going tonight with a 2-0 win at wombwell main, now only need to win one of their last two games to be crowned champions of the Sheffield & Hallamshire County Senior League Premier Division. Since Gabbe Mozzini took over they’ve played 14 won 12 drawn 2. Going to make the last home game in the 15th against Dodworth Miners when hopefully they’ll already be champions.
Wow. I went down for a couple of games under Adam Lockwood as it's just down the road but not been for a long while. I'll mark 15th May in my calendar and try and make it.
I sometimes watch dodworth, I know the management team and some of the players. Dodworth gave Wakefield a blood and thunder game at dodworth a few weeks back just being pipped 3-2, Wakefields two strikers are getting paid £140 a game and there managers on £35000 a year so just like any other team doing well money talks. Dodworth having a great season as well, they have 3 games in hand and can finish up near the top maybe pushing Wakefield or can finish 2nd, if its anything like the first match you'll be in for a treat.
