Ironically Jackson was very much a club legend at The Valley and did well to start with. Obviously their owners expected promotion so he paid the price. As for Adkins it would be a no thanks from me.
What about David Unsworth, left Everton recently to start a managerial career. Has done well with Everton youth and was a no-nonsense type of player so hopefully he has took that into his coaching and management
I would be up for someone like that. A successful former Premier League player who's done some coaching and wants to break in to management. Michael Carrick would be another good one for the same reasons. Same with Scott Brown being linked to Fleetwood. I think it would be a better option than either someone who doesn't know English Football or is British but got a CV full of failures.
