Aye…can see him accepting £2k a week too. Doesn’t fit the ‘plan’ either.

Think when he joined Villa he was on 27k a week basic wage, so doesnt include goal bonus etc, and I assume it's probably risen since their promotion to prem. I reckon he will definitely have to have a bit of a wage cut when finding another championship club. It's a shame it didn't really work out for him at villa like we were all hoping it would

James Norwood, Miles Kenlock and Tom Carroll have all been released by Ipswich. I'd take all three. Norwood (despite his age) is just the type of striker and player we need - hard as nails, no nonsense, committed, focused and can finish.

Are they 14 and will play where the owners tell Khaled to tell the Maltese Goat farmer coach to play them ?

Just want the club to go back to signing the best players they can afford for each position with the focus on success on the field not on resale value. I want the board to realise that resale value isn't the only way a player can add value to the club. We got nothing for John Hendrie Paul Wilkinson When they left the club but they certainly added value while they were here

    Looking into L2
Luke Armstrong - Centre forward with Harrogate, 100 goals in last 3 Seasons
Tom Conlon - Centre Mid with Port Vale, aggressive and skilful left footer
Kane Wilson - Right wing back L2 Player of season, believe out of contract so probably would command a decent wage for himself

Some decent shouts on that list. Our owners have probably never heard of any of them though. I had a quick look at the Austrian leagues and chose a few players whose names I quite liked.

    Flavio (AC Wien)
    Samuel Major (Admira)
    Tin Vastic (Admira)
    Renny Smith (Tirol)
    David Bumberger (Altach)
    Noah Bitsche (Altach)

I didn't bother checking their positions or anything else about them but this recruitment strategy can't be much worse or too dissimilar to the current approach can it?

I do not think it was a straight choice between Benson & Twine who we signed , we were linked through the media with numerous players but nothing from the club but at the end of the day Twine & his agent signed for Mk . Dons , we left it right until the last minute to sign Benson to replace Mowatt & on reflection it appears it was a panic buy which so far has failed but I do not think it was a straight choice between the two

I've named Kane Wilson too, however hadn't realised he'd been named league 2 player of the season. With that being the case, I'd be very surprised if he didn't end up in the championship. He's the sort of player Brentford usually snaps up, however they probably won't now they're in the Premier League.

To be honest thats 3 players from Ipswich plus Tyrone Simpson making 4 & yet Ipswich have hardly been a prominent force in division one this season , I am not saying that they are not decent players but it would appear they have not impacted Ipswich this season .

I can't see how we can afford to operate with the players we've got. To be honest, I can't see how we can afford to operate if we release every player out of contract and sell every player that any other club is interested in. The accounts show there's no money left. Income will be at a fraction of what it was. We'll still have a playing staff we have to pay who no one else wants. I don't see how we can make signings.
