I have wrote many times about the issues around our club and in October i made the decision to back away. Results and performances weren't the only issue then but the whole BFC package. Yesterday was the output from mismanagement across our club. Is it 5 managers, 3 CEO’s and >5K less fans since end of last season. A team of kids and a position worse than any other and finishing well below docked points teams. But i fear our problems are deeper than one bad (very bad) season of results. After all this isn't the objective for our owners who usually like the sweet spot we have for selling players just after a successful L1 season. Why would people be attracted to watch us play and be interested in our game days. I get people are in the habit of going and nothing better to do but would we be interesting to casual supporters. With contracts running out and little strength in depth we can only rebuild. There is simply no choice. But we will have less money to do so. As all this happens the ground infrastructure will continue to deteriorate and we will then have east stand bogs as a source of humour. The ST may well continue to question the club into submission but they aren't really responding. Conway Out can peddle the micro protests and new owner threats but this quickly wained. Im not sure we have fans united to drive any change. So all in all i think we have succeeded in failing on many many more levels than i think any of us would have predicted. The ‘void’ of Saturday afternoon was easily filled and its sad that i close this chapter of watching BFC but i guess im not alone.
You are not alone. I am absolutely gutted that it’s come to this, but a stand has to be made, & in my opinion staying away is the best way to get any sort of message through to these pillocks. It’s peoples choice to renew, that’s fair enough, if they’re happy watching & contributing to this ***** currently on display then more fool them, but nothing will change unless a real stand is taken.
I became a part time suporter 3 seasons ago. Sadly the less I go the more I want to stay away. That's after over 20 years with season tickets. I'm not alone and all the hard work over the last ten years many will follow. It's hard to get back into the habit of going ,when your not missing it. Incidentally I was there at the last away game of the season at the Hawthorns when we lost 7 0 . Brian Howard n Co.
I think its the sense of hopelessness that gets you. Most of us have been through relegations before, and there was the thought, at least we gave it a good go, if we can keep that player and that player we have a good chance of bouncing back. This season only the thought that we have been well and truly shafted by the club we support !
Th This with knobs on! After last season most of us hoped we’d kick on, especially with noises of increasing the budget etc. unfortunately that extra budget was spent so poorly it’s untrue! It’s the apathy that’s so alarming!
