Those squad values quoted bear no resemblance to fees paid. Values are amortised each year to reflect the spreading of the cost but the actual amounts paid are also available and I’ve listed these below.

Huddersfield cost of players from accounts £17.2m, post accounts published transfer fees paid £0. Fees received £2m
Nottingham Forest cost of players from accounts £31m, post accounts published transfer fees paid £5m. Fees received £0.5m
Sheffield United cost of players from accounts £114m, post accounts published transfer fees paid £0m. Fees received £25m.
QPR cost of players from accounts £8.3m, post accounts published transfer fees paid £2m. Fees received £0m.
Luton cost of players from accounts £4.9m post accounts published transfer fees paid £0m. Fees received £0.5m
Bournemouth cost of players from accounts £198.6m post accounts published transfer fees paid £12m. Fees received £25m
Fulham cost of players from accounts £233m post accounts published transfer fees paid £20m. Fees received £4.5m

By comparison Barnsley stands at £8.8m, no idea what was paid for the incomings and £750k received.

The big success story is Luton, but the gulf between teams who have been in the premier league and the rest is enormous. Even Forest who have splashed the cash have expenditure a fraction of the teams recently in the premier league.

The parachute payments are making promotion less and less likely for teams outside that group to get promotion as the gap continue to widen.

Interesting, if accurate shows how well you (and hudds to a lesser degree) have done - and how appallingly Stoke are being managed.
BTW Pelly. Ticket revenues are pooled amongst the 4 teams, so you'll get a chunk out of the bigger crowds at the other 3 grounds.
The revenue from ticket sales at Wembley is split 50/50 but is traditionally gifted to the losing finalist.

That's the problem with all clubs including our own. They think ripping fans off is the best way to make some quick cash rather than finding other ways.
