Tory MP Lee Anderson says there’s no need for food banks in the UK, the real problem is people not being able to cook properly. At his Ashfield food bank they run a course...

“We show them how to cook cheap and nutritious meals on a budget. We can make a meal for about 30p a day, and this is cooking from scratch.”

Can’t be long before they start shooting people who can’t afford to eat.

I suspect his meals are based on roadkill and dirt.

It will come as a shock to the bell €nd when he finds out that food banks don’t provide already cooked food and that the people who use them still have to cook the food. This just highlights how out of touch the tories are with reality

Probably based on the packed meals that they supplied during lockdown.

And at a time when some foodbanks are having to refuse food that needs cooking as the people using them don’t have the money to spend on energy to use oven to warm the food.

Still we get the govt we deserve.

Does the bell end think fuel costs have relaxed to be able to
    1. Buy food (increased in price due to increase in transportation/fuel costs)
    2. Cook
So freeze while you starve. May seem extreme but people are making one choice over the other. Or have we found a way to heat for free.
He'll be telling em to find a cave to live in next. And sit round a nice camp fire. Cooking. Food and heating included. Set traps for the wildlife.
    Rivers to wash clothes in.
    Happy days.
    Two hat springs to mind.

    Is that the case though.
43% of the popular vote went to the tories. which means they have control. Sadly 57% of us didn't vote for em and got stuffed. Not what the majority deserved imho.
Best thing for the tories was the shift to the Scottish national party from labour. Which helps em.
Can only see a coalition of labour. Scots nationalists Welsh and other small groups eg Greens, will defeat em in a hung parliament..
Hope I'm wrong and the Brits wake up and smell the coffee. And get shut of these B'STDS once and for all. Sooner the better.

The LibDems are threatening a lot of the safer Tory seats - with the possibility of a "gentleman's agreement" to not campaign against Labour (and other parties - Plaid, SNP, Green, in other areas) and concentrate resources where they can actually win. Current forecast is for a Labour minority gov or hung Parliament where we could end up with a Lab-Lib coalition.

To get this lot out I'd go with a Bossman-Mr Badger coalition

Patronising doesn't cover it....at least their little scheme will cut numbers using the food bank.....which is the idea. Shame they will have even less to eat .

I think a lot more change is in the offing and I very much doubt Johnson will be the one leading the tories into the next GE. I've said it for the best part of a decade, to get rid of the tories, the Lib Dems have to regain some of their previous territories lost to the tories in 2010. Con to Lab is going to be pretty rare and i think the powers that be in the challenging parties can see how their split vote creates tory governments who don't get the majority of the vote.

There are a few by elections coming up and it's possible/likely that the tories will lose 3 more seats. I suspect this negative drip will continue while Johnson clings on and likely his time will be ended when Sue Grays report comes out and when the worst law breaking becomes apparent.

The tories have always been effective at moving on and making a new leader seem like a new party gaining power. I've no doubt they'll try this trick again ahead of the 2024 GE. But when push comes to shove, I'm not sure the UK electorate will do what is in their best interests. They largely haven't for a long time.

i think broadly it is. The majority voted for a self harming Brexit then for a party that promised them the hardest possible Brexit so that brain dead racists could indulge in the fantasy that it is ‘the foreigns’ that have made them fail not their own limitations.

For us who opposed those things we failed. We didn’t convince enough people with our arguments. We didn’t get enough votes. There were too many ‘but Corbyns’.

So we are where we are.

What is so striking about him (he has history on being a ignorant prat),and other politicians, is that in the 21st Century, their lack of compassion and empathy.

One day soon, the Tories will eliminate the need for foodbanks.

Easy to say when you can eat in a heavily subsidised bar and claim meals on expenses - so out of touch it's unbelievable
