I get the feeling with him being 25, and rejecting a contract extension, he's looking for a pay day. He's at the age where his next move could be the most lucrative of his career, which probably prices us out.

I know little about him, although I recall him having a good game against Wednesday in the cup earlier in the season. So you could see him going to someone in the Champ.

I do wonder if we will make another move for him or already have. He's played 98 games mainly in League 1 (with some cup games thrown in) in just the last two seasons. 25 years old, lots of experience of the league we are about to play in and doesn't appear to get suspended or injured.

Far too much common sense to try for him.

I imagine his name came up because of the data gathering, therefore fitted the plan. We all know what happened last summer so perhaps this summer we will return to the plan. Appears better than what is currently at the club.

Plymouth would be able to pay him more than us.
Let's face facts, their playing budget for next season will be considerably better than ours.

If we can't compete financially with Plymouth we may as well pack in

Plymouth averaged home crowds over 13000 this season, 7th highest in the league, I don't see us matching that.

Think you could be in for a rude awakening this summer.
There'll be many other clubs in L1 like Plymouth who will have far more financial clout than us. We posted losses of £4.5m and desperately need to shift a few players on wages we can't afford to pay.
We'll also be surviving on ST sales of barely 5k and with no financial support from the owners.
Our signings (if there are any) will be frees and loans, most likely those who've been discarded rather than turned down new terms.

And we were reportedly interested in him a season or so ago, but who is going to progress this sort of deal whilst we still have no hint of a first team coach?
