Spoke to him at Wycombe away when Conway was taking the adulation, seemed a grounded bloke, unlike Conway.
All valid questions. But we've got better people running the club today than yesterday, in my opinion, so therefore we have a better chance of wading through all the difficulties we're going to face.
How about Conway was a front for PMG, PMG didn't like the way Conway was managing their investment so they dumped him and put Quay in instead. Quay sees the way that PMG investments would be better served the way Neerav / Cryne wish to progress so votes with them to remove Lee. Lee shares are still (for now )in the club, but he has no influence. PMG shares are still in the club but are now being used as Quay thinks best, not Conway.
Who actually owns us then please? Anyone actually know? James Cryne has 20%. Chien Lee seemingly has between 25%-50%. That leaves anything between 30%-55%. Is this public knowledge?
It's in the statement but some of their shares were actually owned by another investor and they had a 4 year deal to act as a nominee (ie exercise the voting rights of those shares). The owner of them has now removed this and they are directly represented on the board by Quay. Because Quay/Crynes/Parekh have >50% of the shares, they are able to remove Conway/Lee from the board.
They never did. The 80% was split across a number of investors, including Parekh, but Conway and Lee controlled a majority of the votes for those shares until Conway was removed as nominee for the ones he didn't own directly within the PMG shareholding.
Only the first sentence was a question. (I only said that cos you're often awful - but I like you). (you're probably not old enough to remember Dick Emery) Anyway, the Supporters Trust has recently had the opportunity to acquire muscle - I joined last week - and megaphone what reasonable BFC supporters ought to expect. Which is a fair deal, really. These days, I suppose it needs to be more specifically explained. But the truth never hurts. And as is obvious from last season, and despite what everyone might say, if you're doing well on the pitch, everything else is so much easier. In fact it's already sorted.
Awful seems a bit harsh. But I think I'm meant to say thanks? Who knows today. I'm struggling to keep up with it all.
Yep, the more you read it the more it makes your head hurt, hopefully things will unravel pretty soon to give us a clearer picture of what impact the changes will make to player/ team/ future manager policies.
So we have no idea who Conway was acting for? Are they going to reveal themselves at any point? Still seems far from transparent right now. It was interesting at Sunderland. When Dreyfus took over the way pt looked and the wat it was presented was he had at least 51% of the shares. That later transpired to be false. Still, time will tell and at least we'll avoid another Conway summer of signings!
So if I've understood right the breakdown is something along the lines of: James Cryne - 20% Jean Cryne - 10% Optimus Prime - 5% Julia Quay - 30% Finley Quay - 20% Earl Grey - 10% Jean Grey - 5%
