I don't believe that to be true. I believe the board issues predate this season even. This isnt something that's happened in a few months to nullify the dissenting voices of this season.

They must do, given the Crynes started legal proceedings back in August 2020. Or at least that's when the action entered the public domain.

I’m not sure they’d actually have to put capital in.
They own an appreciating asset, that’s not approving as much as it could due to underinvestment.
The real positive though is that the asset is currently making them profit.
If they borrowed to invest in improving that asset, the income would cover the repayments, though possibly reduce the income stream?

the analogy would be that if you owned a house that you rented out, you have an income stream, but if you were able to extend, you could charge more rent, increasing the income stream, raising the assets value but at a short term small loss of revenue.

As I see it regards ground infrastructure the owners regardless of who is on the Board deemed it more important to take a dividend or whatever it was out of the club than invest in the infrastructure .
If a dividend was more important then I can’t see that part of it changing whoever sits on the board .
And without promotion to the Prem I don’t see any prospect of sizeable investment that saw the other three sides being built .
It would mean years of paying for a new stand as well as the upkeep of the others and I don’t see whoever owns us being as patient as our local ex owners . Imo

    post of the day !
The usual people on here who praise the club whoever is in charge . Particularly those with vested interests make me laugh .
The new change as been quickly forced through due to the fan dissent and the serious lack of renewals . we have a new lass doing Conways job, Lee as moved further into the shadows still with his 50% of ownership Lovely to see the crynnes back in the driving seat but what will really change apart from more chat with the supporters trust . The team, the stadium and staffing needs serious investment for us to be competitive again.

Lee has under 30%, not 50%.

    There's a pretty significant difference.

He also mentions this being rushed through quickly when it's been anything from 9-12 months in the making. There's a quote of reported season ticket numbers too, but there hasn't been a report. I'd be inclined to think it's a wind up account but I know it's real.

Come on, it’s a huge step in the right direction. We were failing, it’s been recognised & action has been taken, & we are very fortunate to have people at boardroom level who care about the club as much as we do in Jean & James Cryne. There’s going to be a lot of hard work needed in order to make us a competitive team on the field granted, but it’s day 2 of a new era. The slate has been wiped clean as far as I’m concerned & any decisions going forward will be judged accordingly but with last season & beyond irrelevant. Let’s look forward!

It is and I welcome it but I won’t be praising the board until they start making some statements of intent .

The irony of this post when you haven't replied to one with two questions. You're ace. No ban incoming for you.

I can be accused of many things, but I'm not sure not responding to questions is one of them. What would you like to know?

We're all guilty of that to a greater or lesser extent.

If you genuinely don't, if you can hand on heart say you don't and others will back you up on that, then you're better than the other 99.999999% of us.

As a normal person, I try not to be like that, but I know I fail.

That’s fair. We are all biased to our own opinions to some extent.
But I would say that I will concede a point to those who are better informed or more knowledgeable about a subject than I and not just keep blindly repeating my view when it’s been partly debunked.
I thought your post from this thread, and the clarifications from others, should be pinned at the top of the BBS for everyone who can make neither head nor tail of the situation to read.
