Is it time to recognise the Conway out group may have helped the investors change things or are they still a bunch of idiots ?
I say well done lads and lasses !

The conspiracy theorist in me reckons someone from the club had something to do with it (James Cryne? Neerav? Both?) and used Tykes TV as a mouthpiece.

If I had to guess I would say no. I don't think the Conway Out group, Supporters Trust, Red all over, etc etc have driven the owners out. The plans for a new board and ownership structure seems to have been initiated well before the Conway out group started. However I think the recent unrest of fans in general, potential ticket sales and long list of disasters this last couple of years has helped motivate.

good work, well done all the noisy ones... the mood was bad, the whinging and the toxic atmosphere... The Conway out anger... It would have swayed any shareholder....

The Supporters’ Trust asked that question and were told no. That was in a meeting with Neerav and Rob Zuk a couple of months ago.

This has been at least 9-12 months in the making. Suggestions elsewhere that Conway’s term as nominee expired in December 2021, and based on this being a hostile takeover, I would imagine the delay was making sure they did all their legal checks around what they could and couldn’t do in terms of the announcement.

Given that Conway Out focused on new owners in waiting, and changed the stance to ‘hope someone out there can buy us’, I highly doubt anyone at the club was involved. Otherwise the stance wouldn’t change. The work that’s gone on in the background on this can’t be underestimated.

The overwhelming unrest from all elements of our fan base has surely contributed.

I think the general negligence, and complete lack of direction is ultimately why they've been voted off the board.

As some of you will remember I took the facebook group to task over taking my Cousin's name in vain, something they did accept and rectify. It did cost them some credibility when it was found persons had been using false names. Loko seems more in the know and what he says makes sense. I would say however if other Board members/shareholders were trying to remove Directors it didn't do any harm to demonstrate that the fans (therefore customer base) had had enough of them and were turning hostile.
While I've got your ear Loko, you've met Khaled. From a distance I've been underwhelmed by him. Do you think he'll stay? Is he the right person for the job?

I think the next 12 months will give us a far better idea of his qualities as our CEO. He inherited an absolute car crash of a club, both on the pitch and behind the scenes, and then made a couple of mistakes himself in difficult circumstances. A real baptism of fire.

His experience in football is impressive. He appears to get it in terms of what he wants to change, build, create, etc. He’s moved his family here, so is committed and willing to put himself out there publicly. But as always, the proof of any of this is in what gets delivered. I’m personally prepared to see what the future brings, with an element of confidence we’ve got the right people at the club, but I totally understand others sharing a more pessimistic or less optimistic view.

The announcement explains just that. There’s nothing much I can add unless you have specific questions.

Are you yet able to answer the questions posed at you yesterday? Still waiting for a reply on those ones.

depends on your definition of 'helped' I guess. have they contributed to highlighting how fkd up things had become at the Club? yes I would say so. in the same way that tykes tv, red all over, bbs, supporters trust, social media and match day attendance collectively have. would I give them any direct credit for the coup? definitely not. as we speak, many contributors on there still don't believe that Conway and Chien Lee are 'out'.

Do you think the announcement this week just happened over a few e-mails? To get to the position where we could announce this change of directors required a lot of work, by all those involved in the process. It wasn’t something that happened over a handful of months at the turn of the year.

Surely you understand why and don’t need me to answer that one?

I never said it did, did I ? I was just asking, as you seem to know and by the way your speaking, that you were involved primarily in some capacity, the changes happening .
I’m just asking what went on , that’s all ! As a supporter of nearly 40 year I want to know what’s happening before I renew .
if you want to put snippets out without substance that’s your right old lad !

What actually do you want to know Mick?

Remember they haven't spoken publicly yet. The Board changes haven't gone through EFL approval yet. Not that I think that will be a problem.
Loko the Tyke said before a presser on the 27th. Hopefully, ST/Supporter questions will be granted too.

The Season Ticket means backing the team. Good/ Bad results come.

Where have I suggested I was involved? And where have I given snippets of info? All I/we have done is try to help explain some of the background from the official announcement.

I firmly believe it was EyUp & Downs season long campaign of ultimate p155 taking that finally lead to Conway & Lee (sound like a firm of solicitors or a comedy duo! Coincidence?) leaving.

Those Yanks have no sense of humour and Chien just stood and smiled thinking what the hell is going on?!?

No need to thank us. Our mission here is complete.

The attempt was weak in as much as they were cloak and daggers. Banning folk and not being open when questioned. In as far as non disclosure of any interested parties. Any interested parties didn't need this group as it was open knowledge Conway said they would listen to any parties interested if they were not wanted. That became apparent through social media a while ago. I reckon you got more out of the takeover statement than from the facebook group. And as you seem a person who wants answers that are above and beyond loko et al. I think you would understand that.

You would like to think that the loss of income due to relegation, reduction in player resale value due to poor performance and a reduction in the value of their investment as a whole was the reason for the decision to change the decision makers.

I now understand more the owners structure better and as such with the changes at board level it gives me more confidence that we may not be in as bad a place as i thought.

I really hope that protests, toxic atmosphere and drop in attendance wasnt the reason for the changes because to be honest i dont want to go through a season like the last one again if thats the only way to get changes at the top of a football club it is a sad state to be in.
