If you don’t just carry on. If you do and fancy watching it somewhere with a bit of atmosphere, get yourself to Garrison. We have hired out the private room there too. Quite a lot going for ‘a few beers’ and to hopefully see the Gers lift the trophy with a bit of atmosphere
Will tuck into a knockwurst and knock back a few pilsners...Aufleuchten Eintracht!!! Smash the bigots...
For every bigot there's a bunch of genuine footy fans, like me n thee, off to watch their team.* Good luck to them, hope they enjoy. I'd say the same for the green lot.
I've been to watch Rangers nearly every year now since about 2010. Never had any issues ever and always found the fans really welcoming. Unlike my experience with the Celtic fans at the Etihad in a friendly. "Death to the English", and getting shoved to the ground by a druken fan, bearing in mind I was 8 at the time - not one other fan around me helped me back up or apologised for his behaviour.
Hope that Rangers win. I see myself as a Yorkshire and English before British or European but I would still prefer a Scottish team over a German team and for a brand new Football team to win a major European trophy after only being around ten years would be some feat.
Is that really surprising? If you were an Irish Catholic I doubt they'd have been quite so welcoming... They're both as bad as each other.
I was only mentioning my experiences with both clubs, seems to me alot of the trouble and actions from the Green side gets alot more overlooked
I was going to watch it at home, but as it is a midday kickoff and the temperature is predicted to be 27C, I may have to rethink that. One of my local bars has a couple of audio-less screens pointing towards the street / parklet, so I'll see if they have the channel. If not, it'll be West Coast IPAs in the Sun and checking the BBC App.
