Would anybody listen to this government when they asked to stay apart from family and friends . I took little notice after the Cummings jolly jaunt as it seemed to say we hadn't read the t&cs of the lockdown but this takes it to new level let's hope they don't need our cooperation on mass in the life of this government.
No, but I'd listen to the experts. They have gained valuable knowledge. On the effects and the possible outcomes. Too many lives were lost through incompetence on behalf of the government. Ignoring advice from those not, and some of those experts inside the advice group SAGE. Lots of lives would have been saved. It was only when he took ill himself that he realised it wasn't in the same league as the common cold. I don't get this. "Well they weren't taking precautions why should I." Poor excuse. You either will or won't.
Do we have to have a covid thread again?…really?….were bad enuff when it was around our lives every day…. Lets give it a rest mate
I didnt listen to the government before, i did what i thought was right following what the scientist said which worked as i have never had it, my kids got it, family and work colleagues but i was lucky. I still hugged my kids when they had it but i kept my distance from everyone else.
Silly bugger you're suppose to inject the bleach not drink it to protect yourself from covid. Did you not learn anything from Doctor Trump?
They were. It's actually really sad how many cancer sufferers have lost their lives, stroke victims, people with heart conditions etc. The annoying thing is that to save thousands didn't take an expert, it just took anyone with an IQ above 10 to know that shoving covid positive people into carehomes full of old people was going to kill them
I'm sorry, which part of 103 dying every day (current 7 day average) suggests it isn't still around our lives every day? BTW BA 4 & 5 variants appear to be combining the infectiousness and immune escape of Omicron with the severity of Delta (although "mild" Omicron killed more Americans than Delta). MonkeyPox, with a IFR of 1% for the current strain, has another version with 10% IFR - which might not be enough for further measures even if it wasn't for the disfiguring pox marks... (and Monkey Pox has been known to have airborne transmission since 1968 - even though they are currently trying to deny it)
Yes. Working in a care home, I'd have no choice but to obey any restrictions the government imposes (we still have to wear face masks and complete LFT tests twice a week). Its helped us keep many vulnerable people alive for a little while longer here at least anyway.
I came to the point a long time ago now where I make my own decisions on it regardless of government. If the government says it’s safe to go without a mask, but the data says we’re clearly spiking, then I’ll wear a mask where it’s sensible to do so. likewise, if the government orders full lockdown but my mental health is struggling, then I won’t feel guilty breaking it to see a friend or two in a way that doesn’t feel reckless.
Not getting into a debate mate, my point was it is no longer about like it was at its peak, unfortunately we have to learn to live with it like we do with cold n flu…..life is such that some people die from illness and sympathy for those who have, but we to move on….
