Which IPL team does he support and why has he set up this session at the same time as the Lancashire v Yorkshire T20?
Have to say I've been to quite a few events like this over the years. 'New dawn', and all that. We always seen to end up in the same old place. Underfunded, selling to survive, people not really investing much of their capital in the project while proclaiming their 'vision'. None of this is meant to demean Neerav or his chums. But I think I'll be waiting to see what the new regime brings forward, and I won't get reeled in by whatever they promise tomorrow. I'm about where I was in 2001 onwards. We let Wilson and Redfearn go after the Prem season (but after the season ticket deadline ended) and events then took their toll. But I felt that we contributed to our own decline. Grandfathertyke helped rekindle my enthusiasm form 2006-7 onwards, but here we are again. We're small time, and we seem to attract a cadre of owners and "investors" whose policies seem designed to keep us there.
What does HK company's house say? Unless I copied the figures down wrong they've already been confirmed.
As Chien lee is listed as the major shareholder at the club and has since been ousted from his position on the board do we know if he is looking to sell his stake?
That's a interesting one Someone put up a pdf of the Hong Kong details which showed the/history share changes etc and Chein bought a small number of shares off Parekh was it last year ? which seemed odd on the face of it. maybe it was something to do with trying to always hold the controlling shareholding with other friendly shareholders( at that time) ?
So this is not a actual press conference with the Crynes , Parekh ,Quay ? which to be honest thought it was. Its a fan forum hosted by Parekh ?
'' I plan to speak with local media and host a fan forum on May 27th'' https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2022/may/open-letter-from-neerav-parekh/
I can read that as " I plan to speak with local media" and " host a fan forum on May 27th''. The date relates to forum and it doesn't necessarily mean he speaks with local media on the 27th.
Quote taken from the BFCST statement "We’d like to extend our thanks to the current directors of Barnsley Football Club for keeping the lines of communication open over the last six months. Many questions still remain, and we’re hopeful these will be answered at the Press Conference on 27th May. "
What I'd really like to know is how Conway and Lee reacted to being voted off the board and did anyone get a photo? Also, how did Neerav get involved with us in the first place? And can he give a bit of background about himself? I know nowt about him.
Exactly how I feel mate. The massive bo llocks were dropped straight after relegation from the Premier League and the club has gone downhill ever since.
I and quite a few more, I expect have been waiting for this evening to see if we may be renewing after all, so I just hope it aint one of those damp squib events with just a few days left for the early bird or we maybe lost forever. Over to you Mr Chairman, by the way who the new coach is or which players we keep or bring in dont enter into it for me.
It would for me. If it's going to be another sack of 5 hite next season I'd like to mentally prepare.
But the worry is that on the numbers given to the Supporters Trust recently the gap has widened to 10.5% with Lee being at 31.5% and Neerav on 21%. The other major concern is that if those numbers are correct it represents the second successive year that Lee's percentage has grown and Neerav's has decreased. Hence my original question - I've no idea why Neerav has transferred 2.25% to Lee in January 2021 and another 1.75% (if the ST figures are correct) since then but if he was to do it again, Lee/Conway/Hung would regain a majority of the 'A' shares and have the power to appoint 4 of the 5 directors of BFC Investment Company.
Yep, t'was me that put the share document up and it showed a 2.25% transfer in January 2021 leaving Lee at 29.75% but he's now on 31.5% if the figures given to the ST are the latest and Neerav has gone down by an equivalent amount.
