And given that the court case was against BFC Investment Company and not Barnsley Football Club can we be assured that the Football Club will not be footing the bill for any legal costs and will be repaid for any incurred to date?
Perhaps it's to make Lee Chien's shareholding, seem more attractive to a potential buyer. I think the future of the club, will always be in doubt with the current ownership. I don't see it changing anytime soon, if ever and the club just drifting along.
Me neither. Nor do promises about doing this, that or the other. Anyone can make false promises and everyone does in football. I'm much more concerned with him, his relationship with BFC and want he wants for the club. I'd like to know how he can afford to be in a position where he owns a few million quid worth of shares in the club. Not how rich he is, that doesn't concern me. Just a brief synopsis of his life journey up until this point. I'd like to know why he bought shares in the club in the first place, how that came about, what tempted him. I'd like to know if he'd watch us even if he didn't own shares. I'd like to know what he wants for the club both in terms of results and league position, short term and long, but also the experience of going to watch the games. Not promises, but what would make him happy. Then I might get an idea of what we're going to be about.
A good question to ask is, if Barnsley football club is owned by 'investors' do they plan on investing.
In his opinion, would the consortium of owners accept fresh external investment to club? If so, would the consortium welcome and accept the fans owning a percentage of the club? If so, how can we make this happen? In his opinion, would having a fans representative on the board be a good thing?
