It really isn't taking up MY web space. But it's been obvious which way you were going given your demands to certain questions. Eg what possible reason do you want the managers name. Would you base a decision on that, bear in mind none of us know.
. What are you looking for via the BBS. The answers wont change that aren't already on here.
Only you can change. If you think I'm happy you're not renewing you couldn't be further from the truth.
If you are still wavering what could possibly change your mind at this late stage. And please don't say extend the early bird again.
The 3 month and 10 month options are still there. If you don't renew by then you've openly said you won't pay the full price.
Sorry if you think I'm being harsh but it really is make up time.

The last point about football being messed up and pointless is one I sympathise with. It's a game where cheats prosper and are allowed to get away with blatant infringement of the laws of the game. The players behave appallingly towards officials and the authorities do nothing to deal with those who offend. The time wasting has become endemic and is now regarded as effective game management. It all detracts from the enjoyment of a game I've watched for 50 years. Huddersfield away in the FA Cup was the final straw for me. I got piss wet through queueing for 20 minutes to get in. Barnsley scored a perfectly good goal to equalise in injury time and it was disallowed for a push on Matty Pearson. Video evidence later revealed this to be one of the most ridiculous dives I've ever seen. Pearson got away with it. No retrospective action for his blatant cheating, no respect for the paying public. I simply can't be bothered to fund the wages of these overpaid cheating prima donnas any more...

So get rid of all the other stuff from your head. Although I've never had to sit on my own at home games. Lots have gone and been replaced by others. But I've been in that position re away games. My mates have passed away one by one. But I've always made new ones.
Genuinely and I don't know you from Adam. As I am a main organiser of Hoyland reds. Anyone on their own who travel with us do not end up Billy no mates. And always get invited to tag along so to speak and end up being part of the group. As for home games same applies strangers become friends.
You'd be more than welcome to join us. East stand lower. Empty seats around us. Genuine offer. I'm not an ogre lol.
As an aside. I did and still do to lesser degree suffer from depression. 4/5 yrs ago. And contemplated giving over watching tarn. It became a chore But I knew it would send me further down the slope. And fought to get to every game. Outside of my family Tarn mean everything to me and I'm so glad that I got through to the other end with my support still intact.

I'm 99.9% sure I'm not renewing. It makes me sad because I really liked the people I sat next to, which is really important as I attended on my own and I don't think I'd like to find a new seat on my own in the future so that's probably it for me. The thing is though, I don't know if they will have renewed anyway. I suspect they probably would have as they're long-time fans but one of them is CEV so Covid may stopped them from doing so. I had a season ticket this year but didn't attend (first half was Covid related, second half was because we were playing so badly I could barely muster up the energy to listen never mind drive through). Now we have the dogs I enjoy Saturday free runs which fitting the match around would be tricky because of rules around when we can take them and I'd have to set off earlier to find parking and then walk as Will wouldn't give me a lift anymore as he'd be home with the dog (can't leave along for more than a few hours). I'm basically certain I'm not renewing but then the finality of it keeps hitting me but once tomorrow is gone the decision will be made anyway.

I bit the bullet today and renewed. I'm giving Neerav and the Cryne's the benefit of the doubt. I chose to wait until after the Q&A on Friday, and his responses seemed genuine enough on the night, and I managed to have a brief 1 to 1 chat with him afterwards too, which reinforced this.

At the end of the day we've removed Conway and Lee from the Board, who were undoubtedly the fundamental cause behind how the club has been mis-run. It's more than I expected to happen since I started my personal NAPM campaign, so I'll give the new board a chance to make their changes.

I've just worked out that I got 4 games out of last season's ticket, so I paid close to £100 per game for that shitshow of a season. It's been quite the journey to find myself back at this point once again.

In terms of your list, I think the only one I'd disregard is the involvement of PMG. The 'hostile' element of this shareholding (Conway and/or Hung's shares) accounts for only 7.5%. The other shares within that grouping are now voting with Neerav and the Crynes. I'd also expect to see an improvement in Khaled's performance with better support behind him, and he certainly has the CV to suggest he could be a great CEO. Dane Murphy seemed totally out of his depth in his first season, but hindsight has shown that his decisions were probably the catalyst behind our play-off season (which naturally led to Conway effectively choosing to dismiss him).

It's a pity that the changes have come so late, so that there hasn't been the time to make a proper assessment of them. I can understand why many are still reluctant to renew and it's entirely a personal decision with so many factors at play. Regardless of what you decide, your decision deserves to be respected. Those now running the club have a big job on their hands repairing the wreckage of a club they've inherited from Conway's control.

It’s like the inside of my head for the last few months. I’ve been absolutely conflicted one way or the other. Last year was nothing short of a disgrace. The owners didn’t care nor did it appear the majority of the players did either. Some of the decisions made were an absolute shambles, from management, to recruitment, the west stand fiasco, the pitiful attempts at a book of vouchers. Weeks of radio silence whilst performances got worse and we released the vast majority of the back room staff. We’ve still got no manager and appear to be in no rush, our recruitment list was a joke (palmer ffs) and we’ve no clue what our budget will look like, what pool of players we’re fishing in OR who will leave!!

As you’ve alluded to above, I spent most of last season sat on my own as my old man hasn’t been in the best of health. That being said, I never felt lonely. The people around me, young and old would converse and listen to me whinge. If you’re in the east upper and hear someone moaning about our defence from set pieces at the top of their lungs that’ll be me.

Now here’s the kicker. My old man is on the mend and it’s made me realise that he won’t be here forever. My few hours a weekend with him mean more to me than the results do despite my constant bellyaching. We renewed today. F-it. Let’s have another go around. You really never know when it’ll be your last.

Hope you renew Fired. I think you’ll regret it on some level if you don’t.

Imagine if you were to take the cynical view of the situation though and, I’m not saying this is the position, but..

Club struggles to bring in season ticket sales putting the financial future of the club in real jeopardy. Investors very concerned that they will either lose their equity or have to inject cash to keep the club afloat.

The first response was it’s not them in charge it’s me from Khaled who makes 99% of decisions. That didn’t wash and renewals were still massively down. What else can we do? Get rid of the main figures of fans ire, predominantly Conway but also Lee. We need to make it look like they have gone. Let’s stage a boardroom coup! The bad guys have gone (apart from the fact the ownership has not changed)

I wonder why the investors behind Ms Quay need to retain their anonymity, could it be that they are long time associates of Mr Conway and involved in his counter pressing Spac?

All that is pure speculation and reflects my exceptionally cynical view but is not beyond the realms of possibility.

As Neerav has been clear that he’s now in charge Spectemur Agendo continues to ring true.

i wavered for a bit when the board composition changed but and thought I would wait for the outcome of the meeting on the 27th. But wasn’t especially impressed by the CE or convinced that anything will really change.

I appreciate how difficult it is for you. It’s the same for me. Just last season was zero fun and I can’t really see any improvements coming so I’m out for now.

Looking forward to sone new away games as will go to as many as I can but until the shady ‘partners’ go im happy to stay away. Technology these days you don’t even need to miss a game.

I renewed yesterday but I absolutely understand and empathise with those who have not or will not. In the end it was about taking the new Chair at his word and giving the new Board some leeway. Conway being kicked of the Board was a ‘biggy’.

it’s all about hope rather than expectation.

I agree. These players need to prove they can entertain first and foremost.

It’s what happens on the pitch that makes my decision. Doesn’t matter who is in control, they could be the nicest people in the world but if they can’t make it happen with the team then I’m out.

I will not be renewing for two reasons. First my daughter and son-in-law have decided not to renew for various reasons. This in itself I could except as most of my time watching the reds I have attended on my own.
The second is purely a football reason. Putting aside ownership issues and absurd head coach appointments I feel the players need to take a long hard look at themselves. When you cross the white line at the very least you should be playing for your own pride. Throughout the season I saw little evidence of this. No do or die challenges just going through the motions time and again. The performances after relegation were amongst the worst I have ever witnessed. To a man their attitude and application were shameful. To attend a lunch time kick off I have to be at work for 5.00 am, go straight to the match and then back to finish my work. If they have no pride in their performance why should I waste my time?

Reason to renew: You get to watch the football at a very reasonable price if you intend to go to every game, or even the majority of games.

Reason not to renew: You don't feel committed to a single activity every alternate Saturday. You can still go to the football if you want, there'll be plenty of match tickets, but you don't feel like it's a duty or a chore, and have the freedom to do whatever you like.

There's an awful lot of people not renewing or citing friends or family who aren't.
The club should be very worried about that. Maybe a lot will come back in due course but inevitably, for a good many, once they're gone they're gone.
We're not a big club. We cannot afford to see the fan base dwindle.

    That.."people I watch with won't be there"
Is obviously the biggest for me.
Always just see how you feel come August.. Seems like your putting a bit of pressure on yourself..
Just see how things go.. life as a way of pointing you in the right direction anyway.. pick your game.. don't pick your games.
