Not sure whether it genuine or not but how does a rumour or not as the case may be then appointing someone unknown appease the fans ?

I think they're gunna do a Lee Johnson. Play 4-4-2 to appease the fans and then lose and say I told you 4-6-0 was better.

Warnock is unlikely to allow that to happen. Either in terms of budget or in terms of being forced in to bringing an outsider in that isn’t his preferred choice.

So it’s definitely an obsession, just not as much as the McCarthy obsession. Glad we agree!

Whatever your views on Warnock and wether he’d do a job for us there’s one thing surely most would agree in and that’s he would certainly get people engaged again and not just our fanbase but opposition fans and in the media and let’s face it we are mostly an invisible club. Having Warnock on board puts a marker in the sand wether it would work out or not nobody knows but people would be interested again which in itself is a good thing

Would guarantee more TV money off Sky. They'd be like flies round 5 hit.

Assuming Colin is up for the challenge, how much "involvement" (if any) would he stand from the Board before he threw his teddies out of the pram and stormed off?

    The actual quote was
"I reached out to Neil and I will be speaking to him again. We haven’t got that far with him".

is that a "official" approach ? as some are describing it
would be a odd way to describe it or is it a informal approach

    A cynics view would be.
this has been done together with Mick M(Ex BFC players) with the only intention to appease fans ,get them on board ,renew.
knowing or already knowing they would never take the job or the terms available for the job would never be acceptable to them.

Can't see any 'manager' accepting the role. Never liked the head coach model, especially without a director of football and with footballing decisions being made by non footballing people. Hope I'm wrong because we need a change in direction. We won't have the best squad in league one like last time so an experienced British based 'manager' would get the best out of what we've got and the transfer market

Ship needs steadying after the last two disastrous appointments, who better than Warnock to get the best deals when it comes to wheeling and dealing to balance the books. I'm sure if he gave us one season he'd leave us in a more stable position which would do for me at the moment.

I hear they gave Warnock the pre-interview questionnaire and he wants an Amazon gift card for filling it in. He just got past the capital of France as ‘F’ and is moving to question 2 next week.

I don't think he'd do a bad job, but if we do get warnock in and allow him to do some wheeling and dealing then it goes against all the objectives the new board stated. We won't be playing pressing football, signings won't be driven by the data and we won't be creating a structure which means that head coaches can be replaced without major disruption to the team. Some may think that's a rubbish plan, but I'd rather we stuck to some sort of strategy as opposed to making it up as we go along.
