You're right, he has potential, but under Val the season before he actually played in two different positions in the same game, swapping over at half time on several occasions. So he can do it, but somehow last season didn't have the right effect, for whatever reason.

I read it the opposite way.
If the CEO agrees it's time for a new challenge that suggests the CEO is agreeing with him not that the CEO is suggesting it

He did score two of the best goals for us last season. It is a pity the second was on a lost cause at Huddersfield.

The statement I put from the article doesn’t read like that though does it?
If the CEO agreed that suggests he was asked.

Last season the lad was totally messed about by two useless coaches , the season before he was arguably the best left wing back in the championship , the lad is quality & a decent coach & a decent team will make the best of his potential , to those who are slagging him off I ask the question , do you think a division one side can afford to lose a current international class player ? I believe he will go on to play in the premier league & it is laughable that fans welcome his departure , the same fans who will be moaning next season when we are playing with average division one players in the team .

What sort of coach/manager do our players actually want to play for?
    Another Schopp/Poya they'd be off?
    A Warnock and they'd stay?

To be honest ST you are right but he has taken some stick on other social media for example Facebook & maybe slagging is a bit ott but I think to me its a lot like when Mowatt was on his way & there were plenty who were less than kind with their comments & he was inevitably missed & I think the same thing about Styles , the lad has quality & in division one a bit of quality goes a long way.

Speaking for myself, I'll be sorry to see him go. I think he has a great deal of talent and although last season he was nowhere near his best, I believe he has the talent to go further in his career.
If he does leave, then I wish him all the best for the future.

I get that. I think football fans will always do that, play down their outgoing players and build up incoming players or retained players because it makes them think the transfer decision was better than it was.

I think styles could be a big loss for us but equally could also not be missed at all if we replace him with someone we get the best out of. I just wish we had better coaches to get the best out of who we have

L1? It was National League at best. A very poor season from Styles.

To be fair he was hardly messed about there were big calls for him to replace mowatt and play central midfield when given the opportunity it became clear he just wasnt upto it. I think it was him and benson away at blackpool we may aswell not had a central midfield as they were both weak as piss. He then got moved back to lwb where is performances were a shadow of last seasons. Out of form and low on confidence? Maybe but i honstly wouldnt be too sad to see him go.

I think we need to be careful what we wish for.
Despite a disappointing season just gone Styles going will weaken the team.
Him going to provide essential finance is a different argument but he has quality that will be very hard to replace.

Cracking young player who was dragged down by a poor season at what was a completely disfunctional club. Be really sad to see him go. But it's a move he needs to make for his own career. Reckon WBA a good shout for him.
