Was it ever explained why flatbread Lee left his position rather abruptly?

One minute he was there and posting on the BBS as the club's refreshment guy, the next he was gone without a word

Joining the dots and reading between the lines, as is the BBS way, Flatbread Lee was obviously Chien Lee in semi disguise.

Semi disguise? Like a Groucho Marx glasses and nose thing?

I'm guessing on this one.(was he an independent caterer or on the clubs staff) But I would imagine the difficulty to get catering staff and the criticism headed his way because of that, He may have decided to throw the towel in. He certainly engaged folk with his food trials.

He just kneaded a break as his dough wouldn't rise.

I don't think he really got any criticism for it though. The club did but he didn't, he got praise for most things. I believe he was club staff, worked for a company the season before doing the same job but for the club this season.

My conspiracy theory is that he ran the company that supplies the fanzone I think. Fanzone closed so he got given a job at the club. Fanzone reopened and he left the club. Not much of a conspiracy to be fair but probably miles off

Think he had his own catering business. I assumed he’d gone off to do that full time

Pretty miles off. The FanZone is essentially just another concourse kiosk, if it’s closed it doesn’t mean you haven’t got another ten ‘FanZones’ to keep open.

He just chose to explore opportunities outside of Oakwell and announced he was moving on. Essentially a food and beverage manager so not something the club would ever announce.

That and he kept the surname Lee, but changed his first name from Chien to Flatbread.

I thought he’d changed it to CHIckEN and Flatbread was his middle name?
