Anyone else been on the website to pre order? When you click on the away shirt the background is black, and third kit background white. Just saying
I would think the away shirt could be dark silver with some kind of black design incorporated. And the 3rd white with off white design incorporated. Bloody Hope so. I've based my choice on those pictures (Not the plain shirts shown btw. I've only just come across them.) The ones when you enter the store.
Genuinely believe it's too late already. Every replica shirt should come out just as the season ends. That way you get more time to wear it without it being hidden under a coat or jumper when it gets colder, so you get more value for money for something that's made for a few pence in Vietnam and overpriced to the fans. Why they are never out for Father's Day is crazy as they miss a big marketable sales day.
I also reckon buying before you see and having to preorder to save £8 is poor marketing. Where on earth do you see this , other than buying a lucky bag. Absolutely. Unnecessary. And then Unable to change kit only sizes. Also why would you not be able to see what you are buying. Based on the fact it would give you an inkling of which is the more popular to stock up on. I remember when people were waiting months for an arrival of away shirts. Given the initial allocation went in a week or so. May have been days.
Do our shirts come from China? If so, it wouldn’t surprise me if multiple teams are delayed in getting next season’s kits available. It’s about ten weeks on the slow boat from China, assuming no Brexit delays at port, but the March issues with COVID over there led to huge delays with boats leaving on time - with the average delay being down about four weeks. About £1 per unit to air freight over instead.
It is and it's shocking charging £48 for something made for peanuts in Vietnam. Fans get robbed with the mark up. Brentford have it right using their home shirt from last season for next season as well.
Re pricing it is what it is for all clubs. Including non league. But I agree pricey. My mrs used to moan. And I'm usually not one for paying over the top prices for owt. But the amount of wear i get out of a shirt far exceeds any other type of clothing i buy. So i tell her in price per don of an item lol. I get more annoyed that prices aren't reduced a lot sooner than they are. Given they are running out of date so to speak. Don't England shirts have a more than a year shelf life as well. I know they used to.
Same issue might apply. The backlog sometimes gets diverted through there or companies switch production and logistics.
