You seem to be struggling. Just respect my wishes (for the ninth time!!!!). We don’t know what makes up the £400k in last accounts and journalists haven’t poked in that direction. Please stop being neurotic.
Im not sure Clark would be listed in the accounts, his seems a stretch title and he wasn’t listed as a proper director last time I looked. £400k is a lot of money for a CEO an FD and James Cryne who he wasn’t taking a salary through the early stages of the pandemic. As for now, given that the board are having to put money in to keep us afloat, it would be bonkers for them to take money out for their board roles. But maybe we’ll have more conclusive statements going forward. Especially since much of the analysis, comment and opinion of the ConLee phase has radically shifted post event.
Feels very unlikely we'll get near those numbers, after the season we’ve had. Their values will have tanked, we're £7m down and their wages will probably be 2-3 times that of a L1 player. Anything near the £1m mark and I imagine we'll accept.
The defensive side of Hourihane`s game wasn`t there when he started with us after that had been added he became a good all round midfielder. Attacking wise he was always at it. We lacked a leader in the centre of Midfield this season and until we get one we will go nowhere we want to be.
I’ll be sure to ask your question at the next opportunity. Scout’s honour. Either via BFCST or the next media window. Will make sure to put the reply public though, given your circumstances and challenges.
What you can get from the accounts is that the highest paid director pocketed £196,445. That’s an increase of 30% on the prior year. Total Director remuneration of £423,372 is also an increase of 30%. The number of directors receiving remuneration appears to be three based on the pension disclosures. These are the figures for year ending May 2021.
Which could potentially be in line with the previous answers given by the club of the CEO, the FD, Paul Conway and James Cryne. The latter not taking a salary in the last accounts.
Could be but looking over the accounts since the change in ownership the number of Directors receiving a salary has been 3. Taking a look back it’s interesting to note that total Director remuneration has increased by almost £300k, or 223%. I would imagine, and this is pure speculation, James is remunerated by payments to BFC data services and these will show as related party transactions.
223% is a huge number. Although, if it had cemented us establishing as a Championship club you could argue it was money worth spending and those involved were worth their value. Given where we are today, it’s difficult to make that case.
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...-lions-hungary-england-budapest-b2094262.html Sorry if this has been posted already but I have seen this in The Independent where Styles confirms he and club have agreed its time for him to leave.
Couldn't pick him out to be fair. Having said that he was in a great position to score what would have been Hungary's second if his team-mate had spotted him
Unless Barnsley got promoted last season Scawsby Red Styles and Helik were two I always thought would be on the move. I think Styles is bound for big things and I think Helik will be European bound. Wasn't there interest from Italy in January if not last summer?
Probably just the same as already reported elsewhere, but: https://www.skysports.com/football/...al-madrid-offers?postid=3991495#liveblog-body
Was another article last night that listed all three promoted teams as interested in signing him. Premier League ones that is.
It baffles me that some of our fans are clearly happy to see Styles go & it is clearly obvious that when he moves it will be to a club playing in a league higher than ours so I ask the question ' how do we replace him with someone of equal ability or better ? the only way is via the loan market but when fans want our better players to leave I just shake my head in disbelief.
The simple answer is... we're unlikely to replace him with someone of equal ability or better. We can't afford to do that. Nor can we afford to keep him either. Given he's said he wants to move on, and the club have accepted we have to sell, that's whats going to happen if we get an ok bid. That's just the world we're in now.
I agree entirely on what you say, my question is aimed at his critics who some have been less than kind, some have suggested that they would drive him to a new club & others have written him off as simply not good enough for us, this is almost a carbon copy of the treatment Mowatt got, it seems there are a section of our fan base who always target our better players, we have history of this with players over the years, I just think it is pathetic with the end result being the boo boys get their way & drive good players away from the club.
You're right on that front. I'd say our better players and players that come through the academy/youth set up and players are the ones that often get most stick when they move on. I've no issue with players moving on when they get a better opportunity as long as we get the best value possible at the time and we deal with it professionally. Last season was a car crash for so many reasons and I personally didn't think Styles stopped trying. He struggled for sure, but I'd probably say only Collins and Morris were the ones who increased their stock. I'd still rather have him than not, but given our relegation, that's sadly no longer a relevance.
