I’m pretty sure the owls store cannot make a profit purely on Meadowhall units rents alone. yes they have a much larger fanbase than us but no way does that equate to Meadowhall costs it’s all about doing something different and putting a presence more than 50yards from the ground itself

Sure. But given our financial predicament I wouldn't have thought a marketing white elephant is priority

The point is we need to start acting bigger to attract anybody new we cannot just rely on the same stalwarts year in year. There is clearly money in peoples pockets to buy replica shirts so why not barnsley? Because in order to get ours you have to visit our website or physically visit the ground im pretty sure if the only way kids in barnsley could get there hands on a Man Utd shirt or Chelsea or arsenal was to go to their club shop at the ground you wouldn’t see a single shirt in town.

No but I bet there are kids walking about in their kits that have never stepping foot in the ground. We have to start attracting new people, younger kids local kids and the first step would be being more accessible and visible

Bothered in the past when the glassworks was first being let rather than now. Not a criticism of the current board at all.

If it was in the market it wouldn't need to be heated etc it would essentially just be a bigger version of the Alhambra stall. Not necessarily a dead cert no but many other clubs make these units work so logically we could or should be able to anyway

I've still got a 2009-10 mug with Mark Robins on with the squad. My Mum & Dad bought it back in the day. One of my top 3 mugs. Other two are a Casa Disco one that is a repro I bought from Andy at Vinyl Underground & the other features 2 of the 3 dogs I walk, but I've broken the handle off that one. That is still marginally my favourite.
