Thanks, asking cos I know Sincil Bank has restrictions and are not allowed musical festivals due to noise levels etc.
They have taken the decision to move to a new stadium, the owners have sold the idea to the fans based on the fact that to be self sustainable and competitive they need to increase all year round revenue.
It probably helps as well that it has been a sell out for the last few years and a new ground increases attendance.
And the fact the investment group have put more money in most years.

It's been a LONG time since I applied for TENs regularly, but there is a capacity limit within that. If your event is under the limit then the only people that can object is the local police, and not the council or residents.

Quick Google confirms 500 people at one time. The events your talking about could face objection from residents or the council, but there's always ways to overcome that for year one.

My experience doing loads of events over the years is that where ever you are someone will complain.

Only the council would have the ability to make things happen & lo & behold they do own half of the ground.

I was present mate and you are correct.
Only issue I see with that. Is vehicles obstructing those wishing to get away asap. Unless arrangements are made for easier movement. Which would probably reduce capacity of the car park.

Surely all that would take would be marked bays and a one way system to exit instead of the free for all it currently is with cars making their own lanes up. Having marked bays would eliminate any issue with cars being left while they drivers stayed behind

Surprised tbh JP. That a funfair is allowed on the club car park. I dont know what time they have to finish.

I'm all in for suggestions T. Hopefully the club would look into it.

Cars only make their own lanes because the many carpark attendants we pay don't actually monitor or direct anything.
Single marked bays would massively reduce the capacity of the carpark

Legally 12am. It's all down to council approval. Only exceptions are stately homes or land owned by the aristocracy. Unsurprisingly they can do what they want.

Could we get Musk's Hyperloop to whisk us down to the ground in time for kickoff?

For the fanzone this is for sale used for around £12000+vat

55mph wind rated. Capacity 691 standing. Temporary structure so no planning issues. I think it used to be Chelsea's fanzone but could be wrong

Macclesfield Town owner could teach us a thing or two. Watch the documentary with Robbie Savage. We've gone backwards in my estimation. We had a brilliant social club which was rammed every home game. That was demolished to make way for the new Ponty End and obviously never replaced as once promised. A long time ago there used to be half time entertainment such as marching bands. Be great to hear Grimethorpe Colliery band ringing out from the empty seats in the West Stand. The pink and orange "BARNSLEY FC" sign has never been refurbished since it was put there 30 years ago. First thing the Macc owner did was replace the signage and open up a social club. We used to have a club shop in the Alhambra Centre, I'm sure the council would let the club have one of those empty Glassworks units rent free for a while. If we can't sort in house catering let proper food van's park outside like Reading do. A proper fanzone like Accrington wouldn't go amiss. It's a blank canvas as far as I'm concerned.

I’m not the only one then offended by the pink signage if anything tinpot and I hate that word by the way but it’s having the cheapest nastiest sign ever promoted all around the country and world whenever we are on sky or in the news. To say it’s past it’s sell by date is an understatement

I comment on the state of the signage every time I see it. It's embarrassing how faded and tired it looks and I never understand why there isn't the club badge on the stand either. Even at my work we've just paid for a new sign across the building with logo on it and we aren't exactly flush with cash

If this isn’t a small detail with a small outlay but a big impact I don’t know what is

I went to watch Gateshead v Hereford on the last day of the National League North Season. Admittedly they had already won the league ( 4 tiers below our status at the time) but the match day experience excelled Oakwell in all respects - engagement, catering, and of course Scoreboard ( but concede they play at an International Athletics Stadium) All the same it’s embarrassing!

The problem with the Pontefract Road car park and Queens Road car park, is they contain too many spaces. They are not segmented, parking in long lines,no chance of being organised. There is plenty of parking in town, so parking at the ground ought to be reduced and made just for Blue badge and elderly and sponsors and executive box users. Car parking could be allocated as season tickets.

Completely disagree. The problem isn't the carpark, it's the traffic management which is just wrong at every turn. Literally.

It could quite easily be improved with just a little thought.

No SuperTyke, the parking at Oakwell and access to and from the ground, has been a problem since the 1970s. The creation and design of the Pontefract Road car park in the 1990s,compounded the problem.
