    For next 4 days according to a journo on Twitter


    Michael Duff is on a course at St George's Park for the next four days. Talks with Barnsley on Monday evening were positive and he is very much still the frame there. Blackpool intitial interview was today. Cheltenham Town are making plans for life after Duff #ctfc

    I'm not sure that's true. Presumably we could agree something with him, and then announce it formally when he's available to do the press stuff?

    I don't think the world will necessarily stop just because he's on a course. He could be on any course for all we know. He could be learning how to navigate Stairfoot roundabout, taking a crash course in how to distinguish a Percy Turner pork pie from any other, or be getting his head around match day road closures around town, and the pilgrimage to the soul lounge afterwards.

    Who knows , who are our first choices, a lot of press speculation & a lot of fan speculation but history suggests there is always someone who comes to the fore who has not been mentioned , more than likely some under 14 coach from the Maltese junior Sunday league , we will see .

    Pleased that we are taking our time and obviously we need to get this appointment bang on but we’ve basically known we needed a new manager since march so I’d have honestly thought we’d have offered the job to someone by now .

    I personally don’t trust a thing that Khaled says and does at the moment. So I’m not holding my breath of even appointing a head coach by the time he said never mind any that are in the frame

    He's in charge of this issue, Hooky. I've said on another thread that he has a lot to do to convince me but I'm certainly not judging him at the minute on the managerial appointment. However, as someone who is 99% in charge of day to day issues this falls slap bang into the middle of his remit.

    I think Duff has to be a very outside chance, if he's offered a job at a Championship club.

    Think we'll more likely get JFH or Warnock, if he can be persuaded. Would be OK with either, as things stand.
