    But surely for any job, any candidate knows they are one of a number being considered, irrespective of whether other candidates are named or not? That's just part of any recruitment/hiring process. In some cases, you may even see the other candidates at the time of interviews being conducted. Its just about showing yourself as the best of the candidates

    That wasn't my point. If I was one of those candidates having to jump through hoops finding out the job had been offered straight up to someone else would disappoint me.

    I found his statement rather cheesy personally. I have a job here to finish blah blah blah no jimmy lad you would’ve jumped if it had been right let’s not pretend otherwise

    The reports were that we’d approached McCarthy and Warnock, not offered them the job? Most likely approached them to put the feelers out before interviewing, much in the same way we have for Duff, Hasselbaink, etc.

    Just went to see what the Derby fans are saying about the collapse of the deal and apparently Nixon says Blackpool are after Rosenoir. Night still be in with a chance of getting Duff after all..

    But it will be out of our hands now, because Blackpool are more likely to be Duff's preference. We were given permission to speak to him before Blackpool even needed a coach. Crazy process that they're following.

    All a storm in a teacup we don’t and probably will never know 100%fact in this and personally I’m not that bothered either we didn’t want or he didn’t want. It’s done on to the next. He wasn’t wanted by that many to start with let’s be honest
