hi there, can anyone please help me?

its been a long time since i bet on football and ive decided to start again, but im not up to date with any websites to use?

ive noticed that skybet offer odds on goals, shots on target, corners and bookings up to half time in games.
id like to research past games on the statistics of this (yes, im a geek! ) but i cant find any.
there are lots of sites that give live statistics as the game is in play, then at full time they all seem to give the full game statistics.

i cant find any sites that after full time, then give statistics breakdown of 1st half and 2nd half only.
can anyone please direct me to a site that does?

    thanks in advance

Many of the betting websites have them built in now when you select a certain match. Paddy Power and Bet365 do from memory.

I used to love this website for picking both teams to score bets:

    https://www.windrawwin.com/statistics/both-teams-to-score/

I also like reading rationales for bets on here:

    https://www.freesupertips.com/

I've had a few big winners by reading the predictions on here. I don't necessarily follow their accumulators to the letter, but use them to help pick some of my own selections.

For anyone wanting betting advice, mine (for what it's worth) is "don't do it" the only winner is the bookmaker.....

Bet365 is quite a good site to use with their live in-play statistics, LiveScore is a good app which gives you quite good statistics too in depth if you fancy that too.

Sign up to every one of the main bookies so you've an account with Sky Bet, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, Boyle Sport etc. They all offer special offers on sporting events so it's good to have an easily available account to log in to when you see something.

FFS, of course it's true. If you want to make money gambling you have to go at it full time and use every bookie out there as they'll cut you off once you start winning.

Anyone part time is wasting time and money and risking addiction, bar the odd lucky punt.

There are much more fun and interesting ways to spend time and money, take up a new hobby, travel, try drugs. Anything is better than being one of those loser 'lads' on the Ladbrokes app with their sad perennially losing 'accas'.

    I don't think that's true.

I've been keeping a record of my bets for about 10 years now - mostly on the exchanges. My profit is £1478.56 over that period.

Life changing stuff I know, but not everyone is a loser.

Obviously there are a high number of problem gamblers, and the industry is a disgrace in how these are treated. Special offers aimed at addicts etc. It's rank.

But you can win over the long term if you have discipline and a sensible staking plan.

    Don't post right often
But there's only one winner with betting and that's the bookies.
Yes there are gamblers that just chase and chase to get there money works.
In these times of hardship with the cost of living etc anybody that thinks they are going to make living out of gambling in my opinion well is just a sandwich short of a picnic.
Fonzie you say your winnings are £1478.56 but how much have you had to spend to get that amount.
I'm not against gambling in any form.

I bashed the bookies tonight and won.

Had £50 on Salah back in October for POTY at 5/1. Kerching.

    Profit that.

I've kept a record of all my bets over a fair period of time - football, golf, horses mainly. Occasionally cricket. But I don't bother with stuff I don't know enough about.

Most betting sites now provide you with profit and loss trackers - its a useful tool.

It can be done - I'm pretty sure @orsenkaht does even better than I have too.

Don't mean to have a go at you at all Fonzie, you're one of my favourite posters on here. Ayyyyy.

But you're talking like you've beaten the system, when in reality you're taking £140 a year off companies that often make 8 or 9 figure profits off the misery of others. You're part of a really **** pyramid scheme.

You're literally clearing under £3 a week. You'd be better off doing an hour a week at the local pub. They'd pay more, you'd meet more people and you'd be providing the nectar of the gods.

If you put the same time into a serious investment strategy you could make quite a bit of money.

    No offence taken.

It's a hobby that I enjoy. I enjoy placing bets and trying to win money.

And I don't think I'm facilitating anything. That'll be the lack of legislation in place that protects problem gamblers, the FOTB's, the lack of any real online system to prevent people doing their dough.

When someone is hammered and has had 15 pints, the landlord says 'go home mate you've had enough'. When someone has done their weekly wage on the roulette machine, the bookie says 'here's 10 free spins if you stake another hundred quid'. It's a disgrace.

I was just responding to questions regarding whether the bookie always wins, that's all. I'm not claiming to be Kerry Packer.

I've always showed a modest profit on football bets but I'm no gambler so never had the courage/recklessness to put sizeable money on. As has been said above even if I did they'd soon stop taking your money. One way or another they'll win.
