Hope he proves me wrong about being a footballer,he was thrown to the sharks last season and should have been playing league one on loan somewhere last year.He was nowhere near ready.

    Agreed.

Thrown in at the deepend when he should have been learning the game in either the U23s or lower leagues. Forced to play a number of positions in a poor side.

Hope he makes it with us.

We shouldn't write him off yet. Pretty much the whole squad looked poor last season, with about 4 notable exceptions. In L1, with the right coach / formation he could blossom. Too early to say, but give him a proper chance I'd say.

Absolutely agree with this. He's a young lad and I don't think he was particularly well looked after last season. Hopefully he turns it into valuable learning and he can show great character and move forward. I think we often forget just how young and inexperienced many of our players are.

Once again to beat @Stephen Dawson to it...

I used to correspond with Mike Scott in the 80's & I have a letter from him somewhere saying this was going to be the next single. It got resurrected in the rave era, as an end of night song. I have the 12 inch single. At one point it was going for silly money back then. Not worth that much now, sadly. Should have flogged it, but it is a decent tune.

That’s weird… I also used to correspond with Mike Scott in mid 80’s. He used to send me records and lyrics. I also got the same 12” single. Once he put me on guest list when he was supporting U2 at Manchester Apollo…. Not overly impressed with his new stuff now to be honest

I've totally lost interest in his music. In the 80's. yes. Was at the Apollo gig & 4 dates on that tour. In the space of 4 years he wrote some great songs, when he had a great band behind him, people like Kark Wallinger, Anton Thistlewaite, Steve Wickham & Chris Whitten. This is the Sea.

PS he was living in Edinburgh at the time.

He was no where near ready for league one either.

I'm still to see something he excelles at tbh. Too short for a commanding centre-back. Not quick enough with thought or feet And poor awareness at set pieces (but that may be coaching)
I would be both amazed and fearful for our league position if he plays any regular part next season.

    Prove me wrong Mr Moon.
