I know I’m hyper dull when it comes to accounts but it is possible to get a copy of the administrators report which, by law, has to include their fees.

The administrators to Derby County and all the subsidiary companies have charged £1.7m to the end of April since taking on the role. That covers a 7 month period since taking the appointment on. Or around £250k a month.

    That’s interesting to know

I thought the million a month fees were being exaggerated by the frustrated genuine fans

You will have a far better understanding of it than me but I understand the 1.7 million is actual operating costs and the fees are payable after coming out of administration
This is one of the sticking points regarding the sale and apparently Ashley wants the club but is unwilling to pay the the fees which up to the end of March was at a reported 3 million

Poor bury didn’t get this many chances and they were expelled from the league the EFL should treat Derby the same

    It's a total sh17 show.

And no matter what people's thoughts are on Rooney I think fair play to him. He doesn't need the money but he's stuck at it when many would have walked.

It’s a no lose situation for himTBF, do well and he’s awesome, do rubbish and not his fault.
Despite that as you say he could have gone a long time ago and no one would have thought worse of him.

Looks like the league saying we don’t care who it’s sold to….We will sell it for you within the next 2 weeks

    protecting the league fixtures/structure

a smaller club would have been thrown out by now, absolutely shocking from the EFL. Close them down.

Efl. "We'll help you sort it out Derby"
Bury "But what about us, we weren't helped"
    Efl 'What about you ?"
Bleeding stinks. I don't want any clubs fans to suffer. But the Efl are a complete disgrace.
    History of corruption never ending.

Barnsley could do far worse than put Rooney on our 5 man wanted list now that JFH has bowed out.

TBF, Bury was a completely different scenario.
Bury had an owner who would not provide proof of how he was going to fund the club when it was in trouble at least Derby are trying to resolve the issue by trying to find a buyer.

Yet the EFL deemed him a fit and proper person. Yes they were given several deadlines. As have Derby. A proposed takeover fell through for Bury.
In Derbys case the efl have stated they are unhappy about the handling of the takeover and are willing to assist a deal to go through. So I assume whoever the administrators put forward, a fit and proper test will need to be carried out before ratifying the deal.

It may not be a like for like case. But I believe the ramifications given the sympathy.(if that's the word) awarded Derby. Will haunt em (efl).as they appear to be given special leeway. In getting a deal done.

I watched a programme last week (BBC iplayer) on the Rise and fall of Superleague. Re the european debacle including The supposed 6 top english clubs. They punished them with a paltry fine. £3.7m each. They should have deducted points etc. These are not my views, but of highly respected persons in the footballing world. One rule for the supposed big clubs and little sympathy for those at the other end of the scale. I especially liked the comment made by the palace owner. At the time saying let em eff off. Being fed up of the constant threat. Something I totally agree with.
In reality the way the european competitions are going. I don't think we've seen the end of the aims.
