The midfielder 1 million and the young defender 4 million.

Now those players don’t matter to this thread really apart from the figures mentioned.

The negativity to our players and saying there isn’t money in the market, The money’s in the market and the clubs are willing to spend it.

Now I don’t think we will get the numbers we might with Helik and the 1 year contracted.

The 1 plus 1 and 2/3/4 year contracted players we should be getting big fees for them.

Styles Anderson Morris Brittain…… Good money only.

Where our fees are always disclosed. Peterborough’s are always b*llox. I mean falsely inflated

At least three spelling mistakes in that article on my first pass - did they get a child to write it?

    Honestly, I'm wasted in hospitality!

I know you like to listen to Darragh Macanthony on podcasts Hemsy, but please dont take his words as gospel. Its already been said that Peterborough inflate and exaggerate when it comes to players and transfers

It is a simple way of laying down a marker and trying to inflate player values.

Put this against an actual transaction of a Championship winning player like Fabio Carvalho. Transfer fee of £5m with a further possible £2.7m of add ons. Carvalho played a key part in Fulham’s promotion scored 10 goals and had 8 assists, he’s 19 and yet even when transferring to Liverpool from Fulham, who aren’t skint, the fee was £5m.

Turn that round the other way, the rumour of a £4m bid for a first division defender is considered derisory but would be pretty close to the fee that Peterborough received for Ivan Toney of £5m.

At this point I’m going to suggest that some of his quotes may be for the purposes of inflating values rather than based in reality. Only time will tell and let’s hope for these multi million pound sales from Oakwell, the higher the value the lesser number of players need to be sold.

Did you actually read the article Hemsy ? It actually says that they denied a bid of £4 million had been made & also the other bid of a £1 million was made from a Swiss club , call me cynical but I would be astounded if any Swiss club paid anything for a division 3 player from the UK , Peterboro have previous for talking up transfers which in the end turn out to be a total load of tosh & I do not get this obsession with Peterboro , they have achieved jack sh-t in football despite all these alleged fees they have supposed to have received none of which have ever been reinvested on the pitch .

You've just proven the point I made about Darragh McAnthony the other week.

You have said Posh have turned down a £1m and £4m offer for 2 of their players. Yet when you breakdown what he says, he's not saying that at all.

The £1m player. I've just edited this as he does say a 7 figure bid, but again, that doesn't necessarily mean £1m up front. It could be £100k up front and add ons which could one day take it above a million.

He actually denies that they've received a £4m bid for the other player. But you've fallen into the trap of thinking Peterborough get top dollar for their players. It's all spin by Darragh.

On the Boris Johnson to Joan Bakewell verbal untrustworthiness scale, McAnthony is only a few whiskers in front of Alan Nixon, right up the top end and just a gnat's chuff behind the mop-headed Etonian law-breaking lying machine.

Do you retain an interest in their futures should they move on?

Yes I've got Tracey from the Chippy sorted, never wanted Kelly or Liz in the first place.

Only in the w4nk bank. No sell on clause. I'm not a weirdo. Or pimp.

Although I'm not sure either fit my spreadsheet tbf. Hurley has plenty of experience like and Brook would look excellent with two up top.
