It`s just like it`s that easy to say no I am not renewing, but it aint you are constantly questioning yourself whether you are doing the right thing or weighing up the pros and cons and making yourself stressed and irritable and going over it again and again. It hurts and that is the situation the club put some of us in.

Some of those that aren`t bothered about losing fans will be the ones in threads asking questions of how we can fill the ground in the future

got my s/t not bothered who the owner is, or if they are only in it to make profit. you all know that the only way to make any money out of football is to be in the premier league or sell your best players, we do not want to be in a position that means we may go bust so selling is the only option. players come and go, managers come and go owners come and go, but supporters always stay. coyr. See you all next season

Conway leaving was enough to make me renew. It was never about results or relegation, but the way Conway had mismanaged the club with no sign that he would alter his ways. However, the self righteous, 'better' fans would not accept nor agree with this.
Unfortunately, our personal situation has changed since it was announced Conway has left. It's been a shock, unpredictable and means I won't be able to renew, despite wanting to. I'm not prepared to discuss this change in fortunes we as a family have to face and neither will I accept criticism from others for this decision I've had to make.

Covid matters then? Just out of interest without being a nosey *******, how long do you think it’ll take you before you go back amongst crowds and busy areas? A think there’s still a lot of people in that same mindset too

You're not being nosey at all, more than happy to reply. Til covid is no longer a threat to my wifes life. I'd love it to be now. But we've both made our peace that it may never happen and we'll live our lives the way we're able and adapt however we need to, which as it stands, is largely in a state of semi lockdown and only seeing people in bubbles.

Happy it seems to currently be much less of a threat to a large amount of the population and more people can do things they like and enjoy. Sadly, the same doesn't apply to everyone. But hey ho, roll with the punches and all that.

I do a job for a couple and she is a unwell person, to the point that when I go to there house she leaves a brand new top spec surgical mask on the doorstep, has all the doors open and goes upstairs out of the way.........basically a prisoner in her own home. It’s sad to I think that someone’s life will never return to what it was

No Redstone not all , especially as this is first time I have read about fans not renewing, its not like it has been mentioned before & I think I made my thoughts clear that I fully understand why people do not want to renew , I have no problem at all with that, it is all down to personal choice & rightly so & I hope you are not suggesting that this thread is only for fans not renewing to comment or is that what you think ?

Everyone has to judge it themselves and do what they are comfortable with. The irony (as we see it) is that the more comfortable others feel and the more people venture and socialise and travel and return to what was typical for all of us before March 2020, the more risk and danger we face (I say we, I feel bad saying that because I had covid and was fine, yet it nearly killed my wife). Perhaps worse that you'd never guess my wife was at risk. She's healthy, in her early 40's and spritely (until she runs out of energy).

You can see people relaxing back to how it was before. Less masks on our doorstep, less distance for online shopping and couriers, less moving over on a pavement. I'm not criticising those people at all by the way. I suspect we'd be the same if we had little to no risk from the effects of covid.

But then we're making the most of what we can do still. We've explored more of the UK mainland than we've done before, and have gotten quite good at staying in cottages in the middle of nowhere. We're away in Suffolk in a few weeks. And perhaps the best thing, we have a garden we can watch year round and take joy in the nature that visits us. Simple things. But you make the most of what you can do. And prior to this, we had a very fortunate time with travel, food and drink galore. So we can't complain.

Disagree as when the early bird first came in we saw no reduction from the previous season and the price had build from that season.
Every year I've renewed at the early bird price and said I think we should just keep it this price. We need as many fans in Oakwell as possible, why make the price prohibitive?

I understand that but for the majority who are planning on renewing I think the knowledge they could lose their seat would be enough to make them renew. Long term we need more people in Oakwell not less.

No idea why you would think that at all?

You said you were sick of hearing fans go on about why they aren't renewing. I was pointing out that it's relevant to this thread hence the posts. Everyone is free to comment, it's a worthwhile topic. Getting more fans it Oakwell is crucial to the future of the club..
