    I like Vic's workrate and attitude but he isn't good enough. He is 24 now and hasn't really kicked on ability wise and doesn't look like a striker that could score 10+ goals a season. Had plenty of opportunities, hopefully he takes the offer and good luck to him but we could easily find better I think.

    Tbf if we were linked with a striker with a similar goal record, we’d all possibly be questioning it. Although judgement should only really be made when you’ve seen the player play enough.

    Victor has quite a few appearances in a division above what Pompey have been playing for a while and you never know, a fresh start and a new environment could do him the world of good.

    We would need a new scapegoat if this happens. Rather keep him and let schmidt go myself but we didnt pay over 1million quid for vic

    If we are getting any kind of fee for him I'd take it. Good lad and hard working, but not really good enough IMO.

    I like Victor. But the simple fact is we have an abundance of forwards. We've got 13 players who we've played as a forward. Granted a couple could be tried in other positions depending on what Duff tries to go with, but this is the main area we need to cull to try and make our squad look more sensible.
