Scandalous price. It’s Esso and is always the most expensive in town and I’ve been watching the prices gradually going towards the £2 mark. They’ve just taken a long run at it and jumped way past it! So glad I got rid of my diesel BMW.
I’m on a diesel Mini and honestly I should stick some Shelll diesel in but can’t argue with the (scandalous) prices of Bower Road Asda or Wetherby Road Sainsburys.
We’re petrol hybrid so use very little fuel. This has got to stop though, or are they heading for THREE pounds a litre? They’re charging £9.26 a gallon today. That’s daylight robbery in anybody’s book.
Unreal. For me, a relatively new driver, it is almost what I expect nowadays but seriously, it is absolutely eye watering.
Saw £1.98 in Hull for diesel this morning ( shell garage ) then saw £1.99 in Grimsby this afternoon....guess it fits in to the long term Government plan for folk to buy electric cars
At that price it would cost me £130 to fill up - but it cost me £117 last week so whats another £15 Might not make as many home games next season if this keeps going though £100+ round trip cost in fuel alone makes you think a bit
Down here it seems to be the Texaco stations are the most expensive. I use the supermarkets down here 5p to 6p cheaper
If I was living down south again I would almost certainly never get to another home game. I’ve gone to extraordinary lengths to get to Oakwell over the years but last season was too much for me, and many others. I’m “only” 46 miles away in Harrogate but I found it hard to justify making the trip most weeks. But, here we are with another season round the corner. I’ve not renewed yet, and I may not bother. I’m slightly enthusiastic about the new people in charge, including Michael Duff, but let’s see how it goes for now.
And the Americans think they’ve got it bad hitting $7 a gallon in California at its most expensive. This is out of control.
I've reduced my cars petrol consumption by 80% this week - cycled in 4 days and only drove in as ut was someone's birthday and I had to bring cakes etc!
The thing is that this has to be the main driver of inflation going through the roof and damaging economies yet governments seem to be collectively doing nothing about it.
Makes me even more glad that I swapped jobs in March and now work from home full time. I don't think I could afford to be doing my old commute anymore with these prices. It was costing me a lot before the huge price rises, now it wouldn't be feasible for me I don't think. The price rises surely need to stop soon, becoming a joke.
