Just agreed to mutually terminate his contract with Posh despite having two years left on his deal. Was talk of him wanting to move back up North a few months ago and were some slight rumours of him going to Fowls in Jan which never happened. You would expect he has a move lined up already given he has agreed to randomly rip his deal up. We could do worse than getting him for a year or so to replace Helik. Was in League one team of the season the last time he played at this level when he was part of the Posh promotion. Would anyone else take him next season? Does offer good experience and shouldn't be an expensive one. EDIT: Darragh has tweeted and said he is off abroad so rules that one out then
Always forget he was born in Barnsley. Had it in my head for ages he was a Sheffield lad cos he played for Fowls.
His little un is in the same class as mine at school. No intention of playing on is my understanding. Nice little pay off. Gonna set up as a barber I think…
Darragh says he is off abroad somewhere so who knows. Would be ideal for us on a one year deal, especially if his kid is in school up here.
Luckily that goal meant nothing in the end anyway. Just a consolation Would be ideal to play in the centre of our back 3 to replace Helik. And could come in as the new captain seen as Cauley is off.
Not too sure i like that fact he is local and all that but has he had his day? That posh side conceded loads last season and do we really want there cast offs?
Not for me , we went down a similar route a few seasons ago with Mills & that did not go too well , experience is all well and good but they still have to have the legs & the desire for me , now something on the lines of a Paul Future type would be ideal but we can all dream !
Went down the pecking order last season. Playing 14 games. So I'm guessing a payoff was agreed, to reduce the wage bill. Decent career though, and I wouldn't say no. But would Duff.
Going to Perth it seems. Don't blame him really, stay living in Peterborough for another 2 years or move to sunny Perth?
Eh? He’s going to Perth Glory isn’t he? Why would he want to sign for them? I’m sure he could get a league one contract, definitely league two, if he was staying in England. And the state Scunny are in, I’m not sure signing a centre back straight from playing at championship level is in the budget. I doubt it would be in ours!
