    Already sold more than 14000 for next season. If only there was some sign......some tiny clue about why their long-term, cheaply-priced ticketing structure is so successful....

    They manage impressive numbers year-on-year, nez. Not surprised. I live quite near VP, so know plenty of ST holders and how the club do it.

    But yet to deliver on the pitch as the budget tends to get wasted on expensive coaching hires/pay offs rather than a squad capable of getting out of League Two.

    Mark Hughes could change that. New contracts have been positively received by their fans but it’s Hughes making them feel like promotion is on the cards rather than their signings.

    This is a legacy thing with season tickets. They’ve been priced more than competitively for nearly 25 years!

    It was daring to do it for the first time that set their precedent. Quite a plunge into the unknown.
    Similar with Norwich, apparently their s/ts are sold out already.

    Anything from £530 to £600 for a season ticket at Norwich. Either promoted or in the Premier league for the last four seasons.

    Not sure about the Norwich connection. But got to admit the first time Bradford did it. It was a leap into the unknown. Could have backfired.

    Norwich had a 9 year price freeze but have put them up for this season. Price they charge should be a 2 year season ticket.

    14k ST holders / 18k matchday attendances. In League 2.
    Yes, there might only be the same matchday margin as clubs who only sell 5k tickets at a 'normal price' ........ but:

    18k matchday attendees all buying pies / pints / burgers.
    18k matchday attendees all visiting the club superstore (Bradford is on a par with Newcastle for fans walking round in club colours)
    18k fans making it an intimidating away ground
    A young generation of fans that will probably ensure they are getting 18k fans for many years to come. A conveyer belt of succession.

    i had one a couple of years ago and used it when games didn’t clashed. Great atmosphere though they could have done with a but more success on the pitch. Great initiative though. I could be tempted again while I’m on my self imposed Oakwell boycott

    Thing is, as we know, 14000 s/t doesn't mean 14000 in the ground. Having briefly seen City's games on Quest sometimes there doesn't appear to be anything like 14 or 18000 in the ground.
    We are the masters of delusional attendances !

    Genuine question. Is there an apparant quantity of Asian supporters you see in the ground? I've been a few times (obviously away end) but it's not something I've noticed.

    More than there were in the 80s/ 90s and I think Football Focus or similar did a piece on the section that call themselves the Bangla Bantams. Things have definitely moved on.

    Best supported team in League Two. Almost double the crowds of Swindon in second place. You definitely can't knock it that's for sure.

    I'm glad we're focused on that younger generation of supporter with the free child season tickets though. Plus we're more than competitively priced. I'd hate to be up at £500+ for League One (or even non-league in some cases) football.

    One of the things Bradford have done really well with, thanks to the cheap price, is get women to go along. I’m not sure how happy the men are about it :D but loads of women I know got a ticket because it’s cheap and worth having for going to a few matches. They get to hang out with their partners some weekends, it doesn’t break the bank to buy two season tickets and they don’t feel that they have to commit to every week with the price being so low. They then got the football bug and attend regularly. Will never attends with me because it’s a lot to pay extra when he’s not that bothered. If they were as cheap as Bradford’s then it’s a no brainer to get an extra one and he might have got into it by now (or, more likely, we’d have managed to lose every single game rather than just most of them!)

    still relatively low but definitely increasing. Think they have done a lot of community outreach work as it’s a big audience for them.

    You cannot do nothing but admire the way Bradford structure their pricing however this does not reflect on the pitch , they have gone down from the Premier league & sank lower & lower , people highlight how this is the way to do it with all the extra revenue they generate through having a large fan base , then why have not improved their league status ? , it is a mystery & I feel sure that one day they will start moving in the right direction, I myself backed them to go up last season but once again they failed , so the point I am trying to make is or the question I am asking is , would the reds fans be happy with cheaper tickets with the cost being years of stagnation at the bottom level ? I am not sure that our fans would settle for that deal .
