No rumour as such just me speculating stuff so probably total garbage.

He's a young mobile target man type striker who spent time on loan recently with Cheltenham from Spurs. Only has one year left on his current spurs deal and apparently Pompey have identified him as a potential target with talks of a 300k fee being mentioned on twitter.

Wonder if we will take a look at that price? Good potential, worked with Duff before and a position we need bodies in given the possible departures of Iseka and Vic and Schmidt has already gone.

Duff did say that a lot of the players on our recruitment list were the same ones that were on Cheltenham's..

Could be a good shout, but we already have too many players and it would need either/both of Leya Iseka and/or Devante Cole to move on if we were to be in for another forward. I had not realised that he is 6'6", which makes him the new Kieffer potentially. Nine goals from just over thirty games on loan at Northampton Town and Cheltenham, but quite a few of those were as substitute, so he has the makings. Good potential, but we need to thin down our squad before thinking about bringing more in. Better watch that body language, lads!

It is just me making stuff up based on the Duff link, most likely will end up at Pompey and we won't even have a bid. I would say we do need a striker though as Vic is due to leave in a few weeks when his contract is officially up (unless he signs in the meantime) and we just lost Schmidt. It is also better to get replacements in before we lose players etc. then we are not scrambling to bring bodies in after losing options.

I don't think we will see Iseka in a reds shirt again, but we need bids to come in to allow us to sell him, so we may be waiting a while on that front.

We certainly aren’t short on strikers with Cole, Woodrow, Morris, Iseka and Oulare(?) still on the books - not yet anyway.

I’d imagine everyone bar Cole will be on wages that are unsustainable at this level, so most if not all will be on their way.

It’s a shame because I think a fully-fit Woodrow and Morris partnership could destroy this league.

Oulare is still out on loan isn't he? If we can somehow get Cole out on loan maybe and sell Iseka that would be ideal.

I expect Marsh & Bremang to step up when hopefully Vic & Iseka are moved on .

Not sure either are at a level yet to be first team players. Marsh looked good in his cameos towards the end of last season so be more likely to get minutes but would still rather bring someone in than rely on those two personally. Especially if we do want to be challenging for a spot in the top 6.

Well we have dropped a level & obviously my hopes are that Woodrow & Morris would be our starting pair although I know this is highly unlikely, but I do think that Aitcheson comes into the equation plus Cole ,but the two I mention for me replace Victor & Iseka as back up to our two main strikers who ever that might be .

We've only dropped down one league to a tough league one, neither of those mentioned are good enough for a team hoping to be around the top 6 in league one really. We are losing Woodrow now it seems so we need a good replacement to come in.

Isn't Aitchison more of a winger/attacking mid rather than a striker too?

Aitcheson is not a winger , he plays in the hole behind the front two & supports in the box as a third striker & regarding Woodrow , the only way you are going to get a striker of his ability is through the loan market , proven championship strikers of Woodrows quality are not going to drop to division one

Aitchison is a big imponderable. He`s been playing men`s football in a good team so should be ready to be an integral member of the squad.

Just not sure where Jack fits in for us. Duff plays a 352 but to my knowledge its set up with one holding mid with two numbers 8s in front who get forward etc. Jack possibly wont suit the number 8 role so would have to go up front possibly.

We won't get someone as good as Cauley, that's pretty obvious as he is a proven championship striker. What I am hoping is that we have a replacement in mind that we have identified as a player that can step up and become that level. When Cauley came in, on paper he was not a comparable replacement for Bradshaw given his record at the time and the fact Bradders had 2 or 3 really good seasons at L1 level behind him, but Cauley grew into arguably a better player etc.

Tyler Walker was out on loan with Pompey last season, wonder if we could go for someone like him, think he only has a year left on his deal. He is a similar type player to Cauley and would work well IMO but possibly too expensive wage wise but who knows.
