That's stretching it a bit, best striker since Kieffer Moore more likely.

Really? What about Dyer or Chopra? (and probably some others) I liked Cauley but I'm not sure I agree with that statement.

I’m not sure I would call this retrenchment exercise in any way ‘magic’. Necessary unfortunately, but definitely not magic.

He goes with my best wishes.

Personally think Winnall, Dyer & Ward stand above him in the ratings chart.

Plenty of interpretations of the word magic. Happy with my use here, because once we hit it, it means we're on a flat footing to move forward as a football club with Duff and the new board at the helm.

Thank you Cauley, a excellent player and person. I think we were lucky to have him, suffered with a bad injury last season but even if he was fit he couldn't have prevented the momentum of incompetence, that was/is Barnsley FC. He worked hard for the team and the numerous managers and he didn't deserve the opprobrium and criticism that has come his way from a few people.
I think he will do well at Luton, it will be good to see him on the highlights show and receive reports from @Pelly.
The team and club is in transition, the team starting the season will be totally different from the one of the past seasons.
Good luck Cauley and thanks for everything.

Always felt he had a touch of class and provided great service at Oakwell.

The last two years have been hard for him but playing out of position and a bad run on the injury front didn't help.

I wonder how many years' deal he has gone for and the fee received.

All the best Cauley, forever a red.

Perhaps. Like you, I’m desperately hoping that a new era has begun. Time will tell.

Well worth looking at comments from Jones over signing him.
Marquee signing, asked the board to push the boat out etc.

Of course. I'm hopeful/confident without being completely blind to hurdles being in the way and a need to prove that actions speak louder than words.

Positive start though. Even the most pessimistic (negative) supporter would admit that.

All the best for the future, Cauley. You've been an outstanding Barnsley player, in my opinion, whilst here and I'll always have the fondest memories of you. Good luck.

All the best Cauley gonna miss you lad ,
Always thought something could happen whilst Cauley was on the pitch , he could be hardly in the game then bang a stunning goal from nowhere that shocked the opposition .
Didn’t happen for him last season but that was the incompetence and downright arrogance of Conway imo that set this club back at least five years .

Good luck to him. He hasn't been right at Barnsley for a good 12-18 months and that's no good for the club but especially no good for a 27 year old who has proven he's got the ability when it all clicks for him. Hopefully it will fall into place for him down there and he can have a good few seasons while he's in his 20s to show just how good he is.
