Helik will be gone. No doubt about that one. He's out of contract next summer and we don't have an option to extend like we do with Andersen, Collins, Morris & Styles. Judging by what he's said in the press, Styles will be following him too.
I feel like we'll keep Anderson and Collins, and also hold onto morris until January hopefully, Woodrow gone reckon it'll be helik and styles next and the clubs got rid of some dead wood already with maybe one or two more fringe players. Reckon that bfc are doing really well upto now seem to be going in the right direction lots of work going on behind the scenes with more changes to come, fingers crossed.
That's my hope too. Resigned to those two. Andersen should get offers but I'd hope we can maybe cling on to him. Can't imagine us getting big bids for Collins (no matter how much I rate him) so I think it would be a case of him really wanting to leave, and I'm not sure that's a given.
The only championship clubs that I can see bidding for Andersen are Wigan and Sunderland. Otherwise it will be some of the bigger spending league 1 clubs, such as the ones linked with Woodrow the other day.
Iseka, Benson, Oulare, Kane and Helik are the ones that need to go if the principal criteria is size of recurrent cost saving - they are the remaining top 'earners' reportedly. Accept Styles will go too as perhaps our most marketable player but Collins, Morris and Andersen really aren't on big contracts and keeping them at least gives us a spine of the team. Cole, Walton and Oduor can also go for mine if it helps keep Brad and Carlton. In reality, if (might be a big if) we can get £4-5m for Styles and Helik plus get Iseka, Oulare, Cole and Oduor out of the door we shouldn't be far away to a sticking plaster for 2022/23 finances.
And Rooney! Are they still paying him something obscene per week? - Harder to sympathise with them if they are.
Well, if you're right, I'm astounded. Where did you get that figure from? Edit: just seen your above post. Fair enough, surprised at that!
Same here. That is, by my maths, the equivalent of 30 personnel on over £9k per week. Surely not. Unless the wage bill includes extortionate director fees also.
We cant get rid of them all. It will destroy us. Styles anr helik will go sne thats it. Should get at least 9 10 mil for both
Agree, I think that in terms of expected transfer fee income it's in our interest to keep Morris until Jan
The three obvious ones to leave this summer were Heilk and Styles as internationals in a World Cup year and Collins as player of the year. That we have already got rid of two since the released list and neither are these three is surprising.
Famous last words but going on last season's transfer activity only two Championship clubs appear to have felt the need to pay a fee for a goalkeeper. Championship - Transfers 21/22 | Transfermarkt Sheff Utd £270k for Adam Davies to warm the bench and Swansea £430k to Milton Keynes to get the new Swansea manager's former keeper Fisher. The vast majority of goalkeeper moves were free transfers.
Nahh, Rooney loves Direby so much hes doing it for free...honest lol. Its a good point though that some clubs are in a worse state than us financially. But it feels like we're the only ones selling at the moment.
Is Styles at pre season training? I haven’t seen him on any of the videos? Does he have extra time off due to the nations league trophy thing, or is he trying on boots at other clubs?
Apparently the FA investigated it and he was actually getting paid by Derby. https://www.tradematesports.com/blog/wayne-rooney-sports-betting-gambling
