I'd say as things stand right now Woodrow has been better in a Barnsley shirt but I'm confident Morris can surpass him if he steers clear of injuries.
Cauley is better than league 1 and is at an age where he needs to be in the higher division. He had to go for us financially and for him as a player. He is a quality player and bloke and our team is worse for him not being in it. He did receive a lot of abuse in the last 18 months so a lot of fans must be pleased now.
Not sure why you've included me in that one Helen. My response was to his/her comment on the op post. Bit of a stating the obvious. Unless I missed their point.
Daily Star today mention he was signed for 750k. I know we needed him off the wage bill but I thought we'd have got a million.
That can’t be right. If it was it would signal ‘business as usual’ and that’s not what those of us who have taken a leap of faith with the new aboard, have signed up to.
A slightly different take on this,I would love to see a compilation video of Cauley and his time with us. Signing, training, interviews, goals, etc. I think, with time that people will realise what a good player he was for us. Don't understand a lot of the criticism he got.
That's a great idea. And shouldn't be difficult to do given the club but out a goal compilation of all his 50 goals when he reached that marker. He sadly only got a handful more after that. Would be a nice touch to remember the good times from one of our better players in recent years as they depart.
I think the club put something similar out on Twitter when he reached 50 goals. A good player and will be missed, but his form noticeably dipped after lockdown. I know there were some differences in style of play etc... but he just didn't seem to strike the ball as cleanly (Stoke away aside), or get into the same positions as often.
Not many players stay at a club for 4 years he will be missed. Another era starts for both club and player.
How can it lead to cooking the books or money laundering? They have to by law declare all income on their returns and even if it was possible the other club would have to be involved too.
Thanks for sharing this, that is a great watch,so many quality goals. I think Luton will do very well, with him in their team.
Never heard of tax avoidance or bungs in brown paper bag? . Cloughie was famous for it. Also did you hear about the Owls chairman who invented a taxi firm and bought a ground he already owned. I would say football is one of the most corrupt sports around so doubt that any club reports everything to the letter of the law.
