Miiler and woodrow gone. I read it was 500k for woodrow. But cant remrmber where i saw it. Cole is pants. Victor goin i believe. So morris and thr belgian lad is that all we got
This is where the issue of long contracts can be a double edged sword to the club. When players are performing well a long contract means the club can profit from a transfer fee reflecting the long term left on the contract. The flip side is that a player who is on a decent contract over say three or four years and not performing is almost impossible to shift. The extreme example was Jack Rodwell at Sunderland. If a player is on a long contract on decent money the option of off loading only comes at a hefty price close to the salary multiplied by the contract length. Otherwise, just like many players have done, they will simply sit it out knowing they can't replicate the salary else where.
Miller signed for Doncaster today. We have Morris, Oulare (lol), Iseka, Cole, Marsh, Aitchison. Looks like Vic on his way out as you say. Hopefully we can keep Morris but if he goes I'd pair up Iseka with Marsh or Aitchison ahead of Cole or Oulare. I think Iseka could do a job in League 1 but he needs to step up big time.
Hopefully he can follow the footsteps of Woodrow, and carry on playing for Barnsley, despite being nailed on to leave in successive transfer windows
well the grand sell off has begun. I guess it depends who wants to gamble a couple of million on his dodgy hamstrings. I think a lot of fans will get a rude awakening about who we can and can’t keep. I never thought Woodrow would leave in the championship but it’s clear he and several others will now.
Nothing to say Iseka can't perform in League 1. With a different management style and more confidence a lot of these written off players could right themselves, Cole included. Not Oulare though he's *****
Morris will be off 100% and Iseka, believe it or not, is apparently one of the highest earners so I'd expect him to be off too. I think we're going to see a huge financial correction over the next few weeks.
Iseka has shown flashes of real quality. If he stays, we have to hope that Duff can get him performing at a consistently high level.
Expect to see new additions and I am sure that there will be more departures but hoping we fight to keep Morris. Could be a big season for young Marsh! and see if Jack Aichison features. As for the rest will be interesting dropping down a level if likes of Iseka, Victor, Oulare, Cole stay can they step it up?
Wow, why on earth would we fight to keep guys who've shown very, very little in terms of ability, goals or desire but get paid nearly twice as much as the one guy we have who exudes all of the necessary qualities? For what we reportedly pay Iseka and Oulare gets you three, yes, three Carlton Morrises (and £60k+ change)!
I'd be happy starting the season: Walton. J.Williams, Kitching, Cundy, Thomas, Wolfe, Benson, Kane, Odour. Iseka, Cole.
Good god. Any credibility was lost when using the word “happy” and having Walton in the starting line up.
I am definitely in the let Iseka go camp , he came across to me as bone idle & never supported his fellow strikers with his work off the ball either going forward or tracking back virtually non existent , I am convinced that some fans views are clouded because of he had a couple of cameo performance off the bench & scored against Sheffield utd but that was it . I would also like to add that ( not a better fan comment ) if you watch a player on Ifollow you do not get a true view, the camera"s follow the ball whilst when you watch the game live you can turn your head anywhere & see what is happening off the ball & trust me with Iseka he does very little off the ball .
