Wondering what people’s thought are on replacing Woodrow?

from my limited knowledge I’ve picked out:

    Colby Bishop - Accrington (25)

    Luke Jephcott - Plymouth (22)

Think either of these would add something to the team, goals hopefully! Not sure on contract lengths or price tags. What are others opinions on who we could bring in?

Tyreece Simpson - said he wants to leave Ipswich
Tyler Walker - 1 year left on his deal and not in the picture with Cov (slightly ambitious wage wise possibly)
Ryan Hardie - 1 year left at Plymouth, 15 goals last season
Troy Parrott (loan) - was at MK Dons last season but probably be in championship this season

Just a few off the top of my head.

Until we get our forward numbers to reasonable levels, I wouldn't be bringing anyone in as yet.

We've still got Morris, Leya Iseka, Oulare, Cole, Adeboyejo, Aitchison, Marsh, Bremang and Thompson. And potentially Thomas and Oduor if considering a front 3.

I'm not saying I especially relish a front line made up of those other than Morris, but until we get rid of a decent number of those listed, I wouldn't be contemplating paying for another forward.

If they have patched Excel and added a "head coaches input" macro then I'm happy to see what the spreadsheet throws up.

If it throws up a European U21 then pH.uck it, it still needs patching.

I saw all three of Grimsby's play-off games and was quite impressed by John McAtee (22). He was their Player Of The Year and scored 16 in 39. Strong, powerful shot and a good degree of skill.

He is set to join a championship side on loan unfortunately. Think Hudds were favourites for him.

AFAIK Oulare is not our property this season (unless Molenbeek send him back)

Out of the group of players you have listed I would be happy with Morris, Marsh , Aitcheson & Bremang being kept and the others moved on ,then add a new signing plus a premier league loan like we did last time in this division , a Fletcher or Toney type who were making their way in their development but obviously had quality .

I suspect we're still paying a big arsed chunk of his wages though.

Big, big risk. His age, he's only had one good season of goalscoring for any club in a decent league and that was last season. I've seen a lot of people clamouring for him, mostly because of Duffs connections i suppose. But it'll be a bit ask, and personally hope we dont spend too much on him if he does join

Agreed. Only just signed a new deal too so they would command a fairly big fee I bet. Which is a worry given his age etc. Also, don't think they will be our biggest fans given we took their manager too which may mean they add a few extra quid onto his valuation for us.

Even saw someone on Twitter saying May would be an upgrade over Woodrow which is total ludicrous IMO.

I'd love us to keep Morris, but I just can't see it given he's undoubtedly one of our best assets and must be coveted by championship teams.

Hopefully we can get the number of forwards down to maybe 6.

There'll be no danger of us spending too much money on him. We don't have any money. Actually, it's much worse than that, we already have huge liabilities and no means by which to cover them.

Only thing with Morris is in his 10th year as a pro and only just hit 200 appearances. I love him as a player for us but I'd be sceptical as another club signing him.

I'm happy that Duff has had some input thus far. Can't be arsed with quotes but he's already crossed paths with one of our signings.

Vic’s gone and Obbi’s out on loan hopefully to never be seen again
