    Crossed my mind that they might look at Morris as Smith's replacement but with two years left on his contract surely we'd be asking for around £2m? No way Rotherham would be paying that for anybody.
    As for a centre half to replace Ihiekwe, Helik would be out of their price range too I imagine but Anderson could be on their radar I suppose.

    Great player at this level?

    His record anywhere apart from Rotherham and maybe Swindon has been absolutely dire.

    If we signed him I’d be very meh. He’s a big donkey who’s had a decent season playing for a promoted club.

    Anybody willing to pay c15k a week wants their head read.

    Signing players in their late 20s or 30+ on inflated wages and with no re-sale value is about as Wednesday as you can get.

    Tony Stewart used to have a policy of not getting players from local clubs. Not sure if that’s changed but I can’t think of anyone that’s gone directly to Rotherham from the local sides in recent times

    So we get relegated and have a 7 mill black hole that needs filling and we’re told we will have to sell some players to bridge the financial gap which is fair enough but yet the dee dars don’t seem to care about losing sky money infact I can’t remember when they last sold a player for a decent profit.

    But what is the League 1 equivalent of FFP rules? Thought they were more strict on what new contracts you could hand out.

    Can’t see Darren Moore lasting the season, which means they will probably have a poor start. They are undoubtedly the “biggest” club in the division, so all pressure is on. And the signings they have made just reek of desperation to me. No forward thinking at all.
