Don't know how true or not this is but one rumour going round is that Willey, as T20 captain, wanted Lockie Ferguson (who was excellent last year) back but Gough told him he'd get who he was given, contributing to DW being p'd off.

On the other hand something is also going round that says Yorkshire have been more than fair with Willey agreeing to waive the clawback of his salary whilst he was getting £200k for 2 months' 'work' at the IPL!

Probably both briefing against each other behind the scenes.

Nice 2 points today anyway, good job Worcester can't catch!

Malan's injury somehow is fine for England games but magically flares up again in between times - unsurprisingly he's also tipped to be the next YCCC departure.

If we reach the quarters which are on 6th to 9th July it will be a farce as there is a Test against India from 1st to 5th July followed by a one-day and T20 series against India commencing on 7th July and continuing on to 17th July even though T20 finals day is on 16th July! What utter contempt for supporters from the totally incompetent and unfit for purpose ECB.

Suspect players will be available for quarter finals, but we have the shambolic scheduling of an England white ball game the day before and after finals day, meaning players are unlikely to be available for what is meant to be a showpiece event for the sport.

But he has a central contract, meaning the ECB pay his wages, so not sure what the issue is if they're managing his injury and that means he can't play the day after flying back from an England tour.

Nothing, who mentioned there being 'an issue'? I'm just disappointed that he's not available to play for Yorkshire again in probably their most important game of the season so far. I don't know how injured he is or not so can't make a judgement about what you've said either way but as the previous poster said he was able to get through three ODIs and has subsequently had two days rest.

Suspect they won't given the games against India at the same time.

You didn't say it was an issue, but your original post suggested his injury had 'magically' flared up. There's not been any mention of a flare up, just that there's an injury being managed.

Didn't realise there were games at the same time as the quarter finals.

Agreed - I guess my 'magically flared up' was a tad tongue in cheek but that doesn't come across in written word they way it would in conversation.

Don't bother, 4 an over and 3 wickets down, we're not even out of the power play yet!
