    Got a taste of playing in sunshine from all the years in Madrid. Was always going to sign for somewhere else sunny like California or Florida.

    He probably realises he won’t play for Wales after this World Cup anyway so that’s probably what made his decision. That and earning some more money doing next to sod all again.

    For real though, how did he lead them to believe? I thought it was rumours and all Bale said was to not rule anything else and hes open to it?

    Well if you’re training there, using their facilities and integrating with the team and then being “open” to it in the media “and money isn’t a driver” you have to think that at the very least he’s given false hope to the fans.

    I can see your point but hasn't he been in Wales with the national side? Lots of players use certain clubs they're associated with to stay fit when without a contract somewhere. And if anyone actually thought money wasn't a driver then they're very naive in my opinion. It is a bit sheit though if he's been with the players & leading the club on. I can only imagine he'd be 'fit' for about 10 games though, especially in the championship. It's all about the golf and world cup for Bale now!

    I’m just going off what the media and Cardiff fans have been saying throughout the nations league.
    It’s not really of any concerns to Barnsley Fans this season, I just thought it was a bit poor if that is what has happened.

    It’s like John Stones being released by City, him training with us to keep fit for a euros or World Cup and then buggering off to play Sydney Fc for 100k a week.
