Cheers for the suggestions went to falco lounge tad on the dear side but very nice served by friendly bloke and came quickly and presented nicely.
We once got threatened with being thrown out of a B&B in Dunfermline after I accidentally asked for a full English for breakfast to be indignantly told they only did full Scottish , I apologised and asked for the full Scottish . However what arrived was a full English , no Lorne sausage , tatie scones , white pudding or haggis . I was going to let it go but our kid pointed out to the owner who served us the lack of Scottishness of the breakfast and just because we were in Scotland didn’t make it a full Scottish if it didn’t have the aforementioned products on it . Needless to say he wasn’t happy and suggested we stayed elsewhere if we didn’t like it . We stayed but had porridge the next morning
Grandson and I had breakfast at The Chestnut Tree in the Aldi car park Redbrook after we had done a bit of shopping t'other week, it won't 1/2 bad.
Poor show from that B&B. But questions must be asked as why you would honestly want to stay in Dunfermline. I’d have left them to it. Disrespectful service.
Also spooky, i was doing the same a few days ago but decided to make breakfast at home instead even though i like it there. I havent been in ages and didnt know it closed. When i broke down near there earlier this year i went into shelter from the rain and they didnt mind me hanging around for a long time until recovery came. Lovely people.
There are several dotted around now I believe, hopefully standards haven't dropped after what I'm guessing has been a change of hands or equity injection. Bacon Naans were one of the bonuses of the pandemic era. So much so, we bought their cookbook!
As for good breakfasts in the capital (and mindful my info is likely 2 and a half years out of date at best). Roast above Borough market did a cracking full english. Or just wander round the market and have your choice of what you fancy. Also a Bills nearby which used to be pretty solid and London Grind just at the start of London Bridge crossing north wasn't bad either. And when you've had your fill, slowly meander towards elephant and castle, swerve into mercato metropolitano and have lunch of your choosing from one of the dozens of different stalls and enjoy a germanic beer or 4.
