They play a front two I believe. Woodrow us at his best when he plays as a poacher alongside a big man IMO like in the promotion season with us alongside Moore. Adebayo will 100% start for them unless he is sold of course so that just means one spot up for grabs alongside him. Morris would work well in a two but as the hold up man etc. Not sure Morris and Adebayo compliment each other that well but that's just me
I’m guessing part of letting Morris go so readily would have been injury risk. He seems to be made of Ryvita
I believe he has been our best player since he signed. This would be the biggest loss to our squad. More than woodrow or styles helik etc
Well, that's back to square one for me - letting our best player by a light year of country miles go for a near-pittance makes a mockery of claims made by the new regime. Morris, by far and away the only proven and capable goal-scoring striker and frontline handful at the club. My God, we should have been moving heaven and earth to get others out in order to keep him. If this is true, Khaled is having a total nightmare and needs to follow Morris straight out of the club.
Anyone thinking he or Styles or Helik will be here for the new season are just dreaming. We will need to sign someone though as we can’t go into the season with Cole, Iseya and Marsh as our forward options.
I've just realised that Jay Socik is their Head of recruitment at Luton. He's known on Twitter as blades-analytic I seem to remember (if it's the right guy I'm thinking of) that he was brilliant and he really knew his stuff, especially on lower league football. This makes me think that this rumour is probably true, which is a bit gutting for us.
If I was aLuton fan I wouldn't be too happy signing two strikers from the lowest scoring relegated team.
Same agent as Cauley. Logically he will leave based on current finances. The more the club can get for players like Morris, Helik and Styles the less pressure on other departures.
Big loss that. Our best player last season - and if he stays fit (which admittedly is sometimes a challenge for him) then he'll do well for them. Would be ideal for us a in a front 2 - proper big man/little man combo. Bit gutted tbf
I've got to disagree Marc. In current climate I think 2 mill would be a steal. We'd have to pay all that back to get quality back in. Makes no sense. He's got heart, skill, finishing. Obviously settle here injuries aside. Not like he was in and out, week after week. He had one serious injury and came back. He'd be a massive loss.
His record prior to signing was pretty w*nk, and he turned out to be quality. We can find them, now that Conway has gone. That’s the one thing that gives me a tiny bit of hope.
Gutted, but if its good money then I can’t blame them, we are up **** creak after all. Don’t forgot which former board members got us into this financial mess. It’s fine to be angry, it sucks, but channel that at the right people. If we have no replacements lined up then it’s a massive gamble losing both him and Woodrow, I imagine we have a shortlist but without any money to spend we can’t really test other clubs resolve. Hopefully some of the profits from this can be spent right away. I trust the spreadsheet, it’s found us goalscorers in the past who each cost us a fraction of what we’ll make here.
If true bloody awful. Can we sink any lower. Losing our 2 best strikers to tinpot little club. Shocker. I dont give a **** they are a division higher.
