    To be fair to Hemsy though, I actually agree with him, this once... :D He's 29, and had a good 6 months. Just happened to be last season so a lot of people clamouring for him. I'm not suggesting he won't continue in good form, or that he wouldn't be good for us. Just I really don't understand how many people I've seen crying out for him

    I'm far from obsessed. I've never seen him play. Don't know if he's any good or not. Just pointing out we've been linked with our new managers former clubs striker and they've signed another on a season loan.

    If we do sign May, the one confidence I would have is Duff being ability to get his full ability out of him. There's no reason if he did manage it for Cheltenham, he couldn't do it for us

    23 goals in League One last season says to me he’s worth a punt, especially for the £500k asking price as quoted by the Cheltenham journalist otherday.

    Not sure I'd buy Alfie but his record and ability, pace and application knocks the awful ones of Iseka and Co into a cocked hat for about half the salary.

    I appreciate what you’re saying Phil but if Duff feels May can do a job for us then I’m more than happy to support his decision and it’s a big if because nothing suggests we’re even going to sign him,

    Only Michael Duff knows if the money is worth spending. He didn’t spend much at Cheltenham so I don’t think he would pay the money if he didn’t think it was worth it.
