    So basically
    Cabinet member quits due to prime minister appointing someone accused of sexual assault and sexual harassment In response said prime minister fills the vacant slot with someone who turned a blind eye to sexual assault and sexual harassment at a party.

    Just because Nadhim Zahawi only has a degree in chemical engineering which is a quite specialised area are you suggesting it's a bit weird for bozo to have put him in charge of education in the UK, in charge of business in the UK, in charge of the countries finances, and in charge of children and families? Quite an impressive resume for a guy who's only qualification is in chemistry. If he wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth he'd have been teaching alongside Mr Armstrong and Mr Shah a few years back;)

    Well in ordinary times:
    The minister might have some previous experience or knowledge, but they will also be driven / aligned with the governments wider agenda for the department.

    The minister will then meet with senior civil servants to test those ideas, and try to model them into working policy.

    However, it appears this bunch of incompetents have absolutely no idea how to do that. Which is the reason there’s literally nothing happening in government atm. The entire lot is gridlocked because ministers refuse to believe evidence and think that ‘politics’ will enable them to get their own way.

    In any walk of life unless your banging the owners daughter, you work your way up. On experience and merit.

    But shifting from one position in the cabinet to another (whilst I accept some skills are transferable skills) almost everyone appointed a ministerial position, has jack **** experience of the discipline they are put in charge of.

    It's an absolute joke

    And sky have actually made a point on this just now. And whilst I get the joking side of it...

    It's what we are constantly subjected to to lighten the mood from this government.

    Now Thatcher had a very rough ride from these parts and rightly so, my dad thinks this buffoon is even worse.

    And that speaks volumes for a bloke that battled through that bitches government
